Click to report rating    12/16/11   5     5     5     5   This group is the most outstanding facility I have ever used. They have cared for my families little Mary-Kate and Ashley, (Chihuahua's) for over 6 years now. The care they have shown for both is beyond what you could ever expect. Mary-Kate being very ill at times, this facility is there for her at a moments notice. The love they show the girls "Just touches my heart." I can't say enough about these wonderful people and their facility. RID: 29903
Click to report rating    5/5/11   5     5     5     5   Gilbert Veterinary Hospital became a part of my family approximately 10 + years ago. I had 2 dogs, (my boys) who both lived 16 + years due to the extraordinary care they received from the doctors/staff at GVH. My eldest, a strong willed Pomeranian, was under the care of Dr. Scott for many years due to Cushings disease, and later on heart disease. My other dog, a kind/gentle schipperke mix, was ill towards the end of his life ultimately dying of a brain tumor. Dr. Scott and her staff were there for me day and night, after hours, even squeezed in my boys for appointments, were available for phone calls, set up and coordinated specialty vets, and literally prolonged the quality of life for my pets, “my” family. Dr. Scott treated both my boys as if they were her own, was caring and compassionate, and helped to comfort me when they both passed on. I now have a new puppy, who is full of energy and very healthy...I know I will be bringing him to GVH for routine checkups. Love them! RID: 24818
Click to report rating    3/7/11   1     3     4     1   Dr. Bailey seems to find the most expensive method to try to treat but doesn't seem to narrow down a problem. Her Tech Assistant, SAM,is AWFUL and does not seem to like the animals or her job. Our dog was taken for x-rays and couldn't stand up after this tech brought her back to us. ALL estimates from this doctor is at 1K or more for any type of treatment plan. She's supposedly an 'internist' for dogs/cats; even the medication we can get at our 'normal vet' is triple cost from this vet. We will NOT be taking any animals to her ever again. Believe vet & this office are more interested in how much they can get from distressed pet owners at a time of need for a loved animal. NOT recommended. RID: 23377
Click to report rating    9/7/10   5     5     5     5   Have been using this place for years - Love them. Dr. Watson and Dr. Dudley outstanding. Have recommended to quite a few people. RID: 19605
Click to report rating    9/10/07   1     3     3     1   Vets are young (inexperienced?). The vet I saw was not proactive in treating my cats' chronic renal failure. She seemed to have some association w/ AZ Vet Specialists. (AVS recommended me to them.) I just had a cat put down because the vet was waiting to talk to a specialist at AVS who was on vacation for a week, so did nothing for my sick cat. During that time she deteriorated, I still received no recommended treatment (I did my own research on the net and would tell them what to maybe try and they gave me everything I requested, but I'm not a vet.) This vet did not go out of her way to research the illness even though I'd been taking her there repeatedly for almost a year along with another cat with CRF and one of my dogs. When I dropped off literature on treatments, she never got back to me on them. This delay and lackadaisical treatment, though I'll never know, may have caused my cats demise. They are probably fine for routine vaccinations and spay/neuters. RID: 5868
Click to report rating    12/28/06   5     5     5     4   A little on the pricey side, but the facilities are very clean, modern, and efficient. Techs are very good, and both vets I've dealt with were skilled and understanding. One has done additional research on our breed as needed to determine if blood values were normal, or dietary concerns were being met. Vets are willing to recognize their limits and recommend specialists at the Arizona Veterinary Specialists up the road when necessary. RID: 1562
