i have taken my animals to sugarhouse vet for 35 years.Today was my last visit . I took a kitty who has been coughing. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes, I saw a Dr. Belnap who I have never seen there before. He looked at my cat and said she had earmites, he swabbed her ears unknown to me this cost $23.30. The office call/exam $47.00. His diagnosis for her coughing was asthma treated with a shot and anti-biotics $43.30. He wanted to treat the ear mites but when he told me the total bill was up t0 $181.00 I asked if part could be billed as they have always done in the past. I was told NO!! I declined part of the treatment and ended up paying $131.00. I came home and looked up the treatment on the internet and found the same treatment he wanted to use for $30.00 for three treatments.(I need to treat three cats) Of course he told me I would have to bring all three in for treatment. Yea right!!

Sugarhouse Vet hospital has always been our trusted vet. Our favorite doctors are Dr. Latimer, Dr. Barton and Dr. Orme. The staff at Sugarhouse Vet hospital is outstanding! They even have a mobile version of their website so that if I need info out on the go then I can view it on my phone. REALLY COOL!

I think Sugar House Veterinary has done a great job of keeping their prices down while making sure you get fantastic care!

I found out the hard way that they're not good with rabbits. I trusted them and gave them a positive review here in the past. Then I found out the vets here gave me bad information. As time went on, they proved to be unknowledgeable on SEVERAL important things. As a result of that, very bad things happened that probably didn't have to -- including a death. I also spent (literally) at least a thousand dollars, and my rabbits did not get better. I relayed what advice my vet had given me to a non-affiliated, prominent rabbit organization; and they told me to "run" away and not go back again. Then I was told by another vet clinic that I had been given bad information, and they ALSO said not to go back. If you have rabbits, my advice is to not bring them here.

I was referred to Dr. Barton by my neighbor and have a very aggressive dog. I have never seen a Dr. handle an aggressive dog so well. He was also very personable and kind. The staff was outstanding as well

The Vets at Sugarhouse Vet Hospital have been taking care of my babies (tiny toy and teacup poodles) for 10 years. They are very thorough in medical checkups, very patient, very kind, and very, very, very helpful in every way, shape and form. They always suggest alternative ways to take care of your pet if you cannot afford the medical procedure they recommend. They are sooooo willing to work with you if you have any financial problems or concerns. They NEVER push you to get a treatment that isn't necessary. They are EXCELLENT.
