Had to bring my sweet, 14 year old, male labrador in today to be put to sleep. The front staff and the two technicians that helped us were wonderful or I'd give this experience a one star rating. I wish I could say the same for Dr Michelle Caldwell, who lacks a total sense of compassion. Michelle made my family and I feel even worse during a hard time. To be specific my labrador reacted to the sedation in a scared/ according to her aggressive manner, so she came into the room we were waiting in and wanted us to say "goodbye" to him with a towel covered on his head. I spoke up and told her he must be reacting to the sedation cause he is the sweetest dog. She looked at me with a cold blank stare and I knew that at this point I should just walk out She basically forced us to say "goodbye" to him there and made him sound vicious. I have had him since I was 13 years old and he has not once ever been aggressive or viscous. I would not recommend her at all if you are seeking a vet of comfor

Would never go back. Total misdiagnosis cost me my pet. Expensive and no compassion. This place ok if just getting vaccines not any major problems. Was customer many many years. Please all pet owners know that GRAPES RAISINS ARE POISON TO YOUR PETS. CAUSE RENAL FAILURE!

I would highly recommend this clinic. Their front staff has always been very friendly and always offer me cookies and coffee when I come in. The Doctors are all so knowledgeable and I always appreciate being able to have a second or third opinion all in one place. They can also do Ultrasounds and Chemo and other vets will actually refer their patients to them. A doctors office has to be respected in their own field if other vets are willing to refer to them! Their pricing matches what they are willing to do diagnostically, so their the price you pay depends on how much you are willing to do to find out whats wrong with your pet. Great facility, great staff, GREAT care.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING IN EVERY RESPECT. Dr. Bob Baker is excellent particularly in cardiac matters and is an excellent surgeon. I have taken my 3 Cavaliers to him for years and he is knowledgable about the unique physiology of the breed, yet humble enough to do further research when necessary. I've also seen other vets in the office and have had relatively good experiences with all but one. Overall, Dr. Baker is the best vet I have been to, and this is the best veternarian hospital in Reno/Sparks.

For years they gave me an RX for Bovine Insulin for my diabetic cat. This insulin I purchased for years from a compounding pharmacy in Houston Tx. Came by Fed-ex. Cost incl shipping $30 a vial. About 3 yrs ago they refuse to give me another RX insisting I purchase Manufactured insulin from them at $90 a vial. Since I had no problem with the compounded insulin from Houston I told them to stick it and went to another vet who kindly gave me an RX. Would not go back there.

I am new to the Reno/Sparks area and heard of Baring, so I thought I would give it a try. Very disappointed. Dr. Davidson is the worst vet I have ever seen! He was very rude and arrogant. He did not take time to answer my questions. I was concerned for my dog, and it seemed as though he just rushed me through, and was in a hurry to get on to the next client. He did not carry himself as a professional. The hospital itself was nice. However, I have found a new vet clinic in Reno that I plan on staying with.

You definitely get your bang for the buck here. While yes a bit more pricy then others this hospital is worth it. They go out of their way to provide quality care from offering me and my spouse a coffee or some homemade cookies, to having the vet kiss my dog. Highly recommend Baring if you want the finest in town.

I have been very happy with the level of care my dogs have received for the last 6+ years. The rapport has been great with the vets and all have admitted if they didn't know an answer and were willing to do the research needed to find out. The vets and support staff are always courteous, kind and on the ball, even in difficult situations. Any concerns I have had, which have been few and far between, have always been addressed quickly and to my satisfaction. I have been impressed with the continuing education in each vets' area of interest and genuine enjoyment of their jobs. I appreciate Baring's commitment to quality care with their involvement with the AAHA, continuing education for the entire staff, up-to-date equipment, and dedicated staff.

Dr.Baker, Dr. Dayton and Dr. Leautier are the best ever. I recently had to put my cocker spaniel down as she had a tumor in her sinus that kept growing and pushing her eye out and dealt with Dr. Baker. I would trust him with MY life, he is that good. His "bedside" manner is excellent and you can really tell that he genuinely cares for the animals. I had taken my dogs there since they were 6 weeks old, and my family has always taken their dogs there. There is NO question about the care, and I have found the waiting room ALWAYS clean, and if something happens, they clean it immediately. The price may be a "little" high, but if you want the best care for your dogs, this is the place.

Dr. Baker, Crumley, and Bufkin are very knowlegdable vets. If you have a pet with some unique symptoms, they will usually find out what is going on, not just a guess. I recently had a dog with kidney stones. We went into to see Dr. Baker. I was allowed to hold her during the ultrasound and for the needle aspirates. Unfortunately, she had a tumor that wrapped around the kidney and it was very large in size. She had be taken to another vet in California that could not diagnose the problem. Their prices were not bad, considering the service and the great vets. There are alot of vets in the area that are more expensive and have doctors that practices and services are questionable. I would highly recommend this practice.

If you are going for cheap this is not the place, I have found them to be a little high price wise. But the care is outstanding, if I am ever worried about one of my animals being sick I ALWAYS take them there, as for like shots I generally just go to the pet store or whatever, but if you think your pet is really sick and want a really good thorough exam go here! They have multiple vets so I rarely see the same one but I have never been disappointed, they are all very nice and good at what they do, and of course good with my pets too!

While I believe that veterinarians should earn a good living, this facility takes it to a new level. The prices are exessive. I felt nickled and dimed to death the few times that I was there. The removal of a small growth cost only a few dollars less than a spay procedure. I find that unacceptable. Also, while waiting in the waiting room, there was a dried substance that looked like diarhea on the wall and seat. I think that reception areas should be kept meticulously clean with disinfectants. I would like to see a more compassionate atmostphere and less business. Usually vets that are used to working with breeders and exhibitors give discounts knowing they will generally get more business from a breeder (more dogs) than the regular pet owner. I didn't find that at this office, though it has been a while since I was there.

I trust them with my dogs. Dr Dayton is very knowledgable and will respond after hours if you have any questions about a procedure. She understands how to do x-rays for OFA( I have met many vets who do not have a clue about this), knows what the BARF diet is and knows about dog shows and performance events. There are quite a few vets there and I have liked all of them.
