Click to report rating    9/15/15   5     5     5     5   I have used Doc Win since 1998 for 5 dogs. He and his staff have been wonderful every visit. I now have 3 rescue dogs sand his staff has helped me immensely with them. His rescue mgr, Darlene,is a Godsend to me. I can board all 3 dogs and never worry because staff stay upstairs 24/7. I highly recommend this animal clinic. RID: 58406

Click to report rating    9/6/12   1     1     1     1   would not take my pets here. He got into trouble it was on our local cbs news. He cuts the doses in half and charges you for the shot. He never did deny these charges some lady that worked there reported it because she never wanted people dog to die. Instead of trying to save your pet, its easier to just put it down. He has put several of my pets down. RID: 37037
Click to report rating    3/31/11   1     1     1     1   I took a stray dog to him to get neutered and he seemed fine. And the next day he got really sick and died. I also took one of my own dogs to him and he charged me double what he said he would. I would not recommend this vet. Since then I've learned he had a very bad reputation. RID: 24019
Click to report rating    11/14/08   1     3     1     1   Dr. Burnett's Practice has taken a turn for the worse. In the last couple years his staff has gone from very good to terrible. One of my dogs recently had a tumor removed from her paw. They did the surgery on Tues or Wed. Whoever wrapped her leg wrapped it entirely too tight (covering her whole foot). Her leg swelled up considerably. We called and were told to cut the wrapping near the paw. It didn't help. We were going to bring her in Friday but were told the Doc was out of state and no one else would be available to help over the weekend. How can they call themselves an Emergency Clinic?? I would love an explanation of that. Our dog needed additional surgery to repair her leg (skin came off, sutures came out, etc) because of the poor work at Dr Burnett's clinic. A supposed emergency Clinic. Do Not go there for your pet's health. RID: 10591
Click to report rating    7/9/08   2     2     1     1   I moved into the area and needed to see a vet fast. My dog had a mild seizure from a toxin. The ER ran a blood test and said we needed to follow up with a vet. The seizure happened Friday, July 4th. As suggested by the ER vet, we took her Monday (the next day any vet would be open due to the holiday) to the Burnett Clinic. By Monday morning my dog was rested and back to her normal self before the visit. I was left in a small waiting for 45 minutes before the doctor would see my dog. My dog became very stressed. The doctor gave me a unclear diagnosis and four injections. Overall, we were in this room for about 2 hours. My dog became worst and had a reaction to the meds. The clinic suggested I bring her back that she should not be having a reaction to the injections. I was charged another office visit for the doctor to tell me everyday is a good day when my dog is alive. He refused to tell me what meds he gave her. bedside manners his history said it all. He almost killed her! RID: 9238
Click to report rating    6/21/07   1     1     1     1   i was very disappointed at this vet, when i walked in i noticed a smell of cigarette smoke and when i went in the kennel,it was horrible, the kennels were just altogether crappy. RID: 4724
Click to report rating    5/31/07   5     5     5     5   We have used this vet for over 10 years and have been very pleased with the way our animals have been treated. The staff have always been caring towards us and our animals. RID: 4297
Click to report rating    5/22/07   1     1     1     1   on friday my dog accidently got out of the house without being noticed.. he was hit and left on the road. A wonderful lady saw him and came back for him and rushed him to burnetts because it was the closest vet. She begged them to administer pain meds and fluids(his back legs where broken) while she attempted to find his owner.even though she offered partial payment while she found me they told her unless she was paying for the full treatment and taking him home with her that that was all they could do. We found each other the very next morning, I had out flyers and a post on the internet. I called the vet and they told me yes, they had put my dog down and i could come get him on monday. I took off work and went to get my dog, and they handed me his collar and said he was taken away on friday. They didnt try to help my dog, they just did away with him. I loved him with al of my heart and would have paid any amount of money to heal him, but they didnt even give him a chance. RID: 4055
Click to report rating    5/1/07   1     1     1     3   I was warned about this vet by everyone I know and News reports. I decided to go anyway thinking (it is just a check up and vaccines) the place was nasty, the staff was rude, and I felt like a bad pet owner for taking her there. RID: 3699
Click to report rating    12/31/06   3     2     4     1   Years ago I called this vet to my house to help when my horse was foaling. My horse was having problems passing her afterbirth. He did very little and told me that he could not afford to get kicked (by my horse) yet he advertises livestock care. He charged me 300 dollars, gave the foal a tetnus shot and my horse(mare) a sedative shot and didn't solve my problem. More recently he was on the news in Georgia for shorting clients, actually the pets of his clients on vaccines. He was found to only be giving half the necessary dosages of yearly vaccines (rabies, etc.) to peoples pets. If I remember correctly, Burnett's vet license was temporarlly suspended by the state. His pratice continued to operate under a different vet during the suspension (so he lost little money or clients!) All of this is now over and Burnett is praticing again. RID: 1662
