By the posting of the owner on here, you can get an idea of how they view the owners of the patients. The owners responded to my complaint the same way, taking no responsibility and trying to make the bad service my fault. Don't go here. Some of the staff is fantastic but the owners are jerks. I bet they respond to this posting too.

This gentilman has cut and pasted this post on several websites and as the owner of this hospital I feel the need to clarify some of these libelous false statements of the facts.First, his aunt showed up without an appointment but we we gladly accomidated her. Also,he was not present at the office visit so was not privy to the conversation between his aunt and the attending veterinarian.Everything recommended was thoroughly explained and approved by his aunt.A better argument for this poster would be why his aunt's "regular" vet repeated all the bloodwork that we ran?He could have simply called our hospital and we would have provided it immediately, saving her over $100.00.Also,this would have allowed us the opportunity to discuss the case with her vet since his diagnosis does not align with ours.We requested that we talk with him but to this date this dialogue unfortunately has not occurred. We pride ourselves on the quality of care we provide to our patients and stand by our diagnosis.

PLEASE TAKE YOUR PET FOR A 2ND OPINION! My 85yr. old Aunt took her 16yr old cat into this hospital when he seemed to be in distress. Two hours and $330 later, she was told that he had to have three teeth extracted, had a moderate heart murmur and only had 35% kidney function. The estimate for extracting the teeth was anywhere from $550-$1000! We took the cat to his regular vet two days later and found that there was nothing wrong with his teeth but some tarter (and indeed his gums looked great for his age!). He did have a very small heart murmur and his kidneys have only lost a minute amount of function. All in all the vet said he was in wonderful shape for his age.
The charge for the time and the bloodwork at the vet totalled only $150.
This hospital not only bilked an elderly woman out of money she really can't afford but they were also prepared to do totally unnecessary surgery on a 16yr. old cat. Stay away from this hospital if you can!

I take all my rats to AHOMLS. The vets are very knowledgeable and the staff is always very friendly. I've run in at closing time with a rat that couldn't breathe. The vets call to check-up and genuinely care about the pets in their care.

Very kind to our dogs. The doctors even talked to us on the phone! Very easy to get an appointment. There is an animal photographer in house. Fun stuff!

I can't say enough good things about the staff and vets at AHoMLS. They are fantastic, accomodating, caring, knowledgeable - my dog wants to go in even when we're just on a walk!
