Click to report rating    7/20/17   4     4     4     2   Previously our dogs were patients of Dr. Povar who diagnosed a disease which no one else, including Tufts, were able to. So far this vet is fine, but costs more than Povar. RID: 64222
Click to report rating    3/5/15   1     3     1     1   Providence River Animal Hospital was referred to me by a coworker. My 6 month needed to be seen, I think he had a seizure the day before. When my sister took my doggy in the staff was VERY unpleasant. First, they used the work 'technically" way too much and were RUDE. I did not care about price of emergency visit or whatever type of visit they wanted to make it be- as they were back and forth about us confirming appointment and other things that made no sense. On top of that they did not ask us for vaccination papers over the phone and although my dogs dogs indicate his vaccinations they listed ALL the shots THEY WANTED to give my dog before they could actually see him. This was an emergency- they clearly did not care and were worried more about the money than my dog. I am extremely unhappy as I hope to had made this place a place for my dog. Poor customer service. Click to report rating    1/4/12   5     5     5     5   I've a 17 year old cat that hasn't been to a vet in forever, and she started acting sick last night.... I called PRAH this morning, pretty worried, and they told me to just bring her in as soon as I could. The facilities were amazingly clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff were all gentle and sweet with my girl. I had to wait a while, but considering I didn't have an appointment, I feel I was seen pretty quickly. The doc was receptive, answered all my questions, formulated a diagnosis, and treated my girl on the spot. I don't really know if it was expensive... but if it was, it was worth it to me to have a relatively stress-free vet visit for my sick animal and my worried self. RID: 30285
Click to report rating    11/4/11   1     2     1     2   Poor customer service for both me and my pet. Very nice hospital RID: 28842
Click to report rating    11/3/11   1     2     1     1   Not very welcomeing after waiting 10min at a empty desk someone finally came out to meet me (and when i was met the tech made me feel like me and my pet was a bother). This hospital seemed very money drivin and no real care about animals! Facilites ok....prices very high for the poor treatment and customer service.... RID: 28811
Click to report rating    5/24/11   1     3     1     1   Hours were restrictive. When I did finally get through during working hours, the prices for basic procedures were outrageous. I didn't particularly care for the tone of the person on the phone. RID: 25183
Click to report rating    8/10/10   5     5     4     5   Dr. Linden treated my wire hair fox terrier for a condition that was missed by a previous vet. She identified the cause of the issue and tried different treatment options until one was isolated as a solution. She was patient and careful to keep costs low as we found the right solution. RID: 19167
Click to report rating    9/29/09   1     4     3     1   The prices are so high!! WOW!! And, good luck getting in touch or an appt - hours are limited, often closed and mostly an answering machine! RID: 14454
Click to report rating    9/29/09   3     4     3     1   Her prices are unconscionable. On two different occasions, our dogs have needed surgery. One was to repair a ACL. Her quote was $2000, but another vet performed the surgery for under $800. On another occasion, our other dog needed a mast cell tumor removed, and she quoted $1000. We were able to get the surgery elsewhere for a little over $200. Her bill also includes absurd extras like $5 for needle removal and the like. Although I have no major issues with her work, she saw the mast cell tumor on our dog during a visit, was concerned, and didn't immediately order a fine needle aspirate. We had to wait a few days until the tumor had doubled in size, and bring the dog in for a sick visit. Overall, it's hard to get past the absurd costs, which are 200-300\% higher than other vets, and the service isn't 200-300\% better. RID: 14452
Click to report rating    5/3/09   2     5     4     2   The hospital is beautiful and very clean, but the hours they are open are limited. Every time I call, I get an answering machine! And they are not at all prompt about returning calls. RID: 12676
Click to report rating    10/20/08   5     5     5     5   The proper words to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Linden & her incredible staff at this facility fail me. The Dedication & Service that I experienced at this facility when I had was there with my beloved 13-year old Weimaraner “JESSE”; made me request a “testimonial page” on their website. I give them star rating of 10. PRAH thank you from the bottom of my heart! RID: 10340
Click to report rating    9/17/08   5     5     5     5   I have been to several vets in rhode island and have not found any as attentive friendly and caring as Dr. Linden. I have seen comments on this site about her prices, but when I checked, she is not more pricey than most other vets. The cheaper ones don't provide the same level of care. In my experience, you get what you pay for. Her staff is also incredible. They always know what is going on with my cat and they know who am when I call. RID: 10023
Click to report rating    7/28/08   5     5     5     1   She is great but wayyyyy too overpriced. I was quoted over $800 to have my Yorkie fixed and have his teaath cleaned. I was provided the excat same service by a vet on broad street for $250. Save your money. RID: 9470
Click to report rating    7/10/08   5     5     4     4   Dr. Linden is great! She is pleasant, she is very smart and she is extremely attentive. I am very very very picky about my pets, and after talking to/visiting a couple vets in the area I think she is the best for MILES. And although she may seem more expensive than most vets ... it is worth it ... because I trust her word. RID: 9260
Click to report rating    4/24/08   5     5     4     3   She's wonderful, but her prices, especially for spaying and neutering are very high. If you can afford it, I'd highly recommend her. RID: 8251
Click to report rating    1/18/07   5     5     4     4   I have been through numerous other vets in the Providence area... I was so happy to find Dr Linden!!! She is wonderful with the animals, the hospital is spotless and the staff is fabulous!!! I have found her to cost only slightly more than other vets I have been to. And worth the extra few dollars! Highly Recommended! RID: 2075
Click to report rating    1/4/07   5     5     4     3   So far, i enjoy going to this vet. Sometimes I have waited a little while to be seen. But Dr. Linden takes her time with each client and addresses all questions and concerns. The only problem i have recently had is a very high quote for getting my puppy fixed. I would reccomend this vet but i think they are pricey. Office visits start at $45. RID: 1772
