Click to report rating    11/18/15   5     5     5     5   Dr. rose LaMairie treated my Doxie George on a long term basis, did multiple surgeries on him treated his diabetes for years and always went above and beyond for "George". He finally passed away in her care on the last day of July 2015, and I will always be grateful for the excellent care given him by Dr. LaMairie and the staff of southeast veterinary specialists. She also treated my other Doxie back in 2003 for cancer and again briefly in June 2010 when she passed away. I can't say enough good things about this hospital and doctor, the best! Thank you Dr Rose for taking care of my babies from beginning to end???? RID: 59005

3/31/15   1     4     2     1   They do sloppy work. They charge you for services they did not perform. They hold your dog hostage until you pay for services they did not do. They are way too expensive. They are RUDE!!! RID: 56480

Click to report rating    6/5/13   1     1     1     1   Do not use SVS. My dog died of sepsis or nocosomial infection at the surgical site, which means that the hospital was not sanitary, discovered after a necropsy. In addition, they told me this was a routine surgery, which it wasn't. They told me his response to it was normal which it wasn't. Dr. Rose LaMarie or the surgeon, Dr. Rockar will not meet with me to discuss the findings of the necropsy. My baby came home one day to be rushed back and they charged me an another emergency fee which the dr. said would be removed and it isn't. I returned meds he never got to use and they added it to bill and did not remove. Just caught it and had to ask in writing for removal - verbal has gotten me no where. Still dealing with them after 2 months. They are not compassionate or empathetic. They want your money and don't care about the dog or owner. They are now being reported the Louisiana Veterinary Board and they can address all of these issues with them. You can too which will help stop RID: 42937
Click to report rating    12/15/12   1     1     1     1   Total Rip Off ZERO Compassion for Animals, Emergency Dr. has 11 months experience! Dont ask to be with your beloved pet even if you fear death is near because the young doctor takes it personally and attacks you about insulting her, being rude to her, not trusting her and doubting her ability just because you dont want your beloved baby to die alone without you. so called ICU is a wide open room with cages with dogs barking, cat running around, people chatting and laughing, while my baby lays on a table dying in the midst of chaos! Thank God we "insulted her" and got to our baby before the end to shield from some of it! Pitiful excuse for emergency care! RUN the other way in an emergency! They also totally take advantage of you financially RID: 39075

5/21/11   1     4     2     1   After botching our dogs non-emergent surgery we were not helped at all. They were paid in full for all services up front and never returned calls after initially promising to fix the situation. Our dog barely survived and required further surgery elsewhere and a lengthy recovery. I would never recommend Rose Lemarie and think that her ultimate lack of compassion was both surprising and revealing. RID: 25137
Click to report rating    10/11/10   1     1     1     1   dr. rose lemarie did a $4500 surgery on our dog and we had to call four times to get any info on how surgery went. internet said the surgery cost was in the range of $2400 to $2800. call numerous times for updates and had to leave message which were never returned. Incision came open the first night and had to be restapled. terrible treatment all around. went to visit after surgery and was left waiting in lobby for 45 minutes. i could go on and on,but won't. just do not take your pet to this clinic. Click to report rating    6/4/10   1     4     2     1   Brought my cat there for radiation for a thyroid condition. Was there for seven days after which the animal came home with both lungs blown out(pneumothorax) that can only be caused by trauma. Two other vets at different facilities confirmed this diagnosis. The poor creature had to spend another three days in ICU at a different clinic to get over the mistreatment he received at the hands of someone at this clinic. Word to the wise, stay away from this place. RID: 18251
Click to report rating    1/3/10   2     4     3     1   My dog Saw Dr. Lemarie and he seemed cold and snobbish. I will not bring him back will go find another specialist. I had a choice of two clinics and chose the wrong one. He seemed more interested in money and not service, wanted all different treatmeats that may help, but are costly....well lets try what MY doctor suggested first that wasn't as costly...pretty building, pretty pricy! Click to report rating    6/27/08   2     5     5     1   I work at a veterinary hospital myself, I have a boxer who had a "bad disk" in his back. I was referred here, I myself thought that they were a great hospital, but little did I know, they care nothing about their clients. I had to bring my boxer to have surgery there about 5 or 6 months ago. After the surgery he had to attend therapy 3 times a week for 6 weeks after the procedure. Since then, my boxer can no longer get around, he cannot use his hind legs at ALL.Its horrible to watch. I asked one of the doctors at my hospital, they told me that it takes some time to get the muscle use back, but its been way too long for him to not be back to normal. When I talked to the staff at southeast they replied with let me have someone call you back & "it's always a risk when it comes to surgeries like that". They wanted me to bring him in, and i stressed that I was hard for me to get him around & after $5,000.00 I really don't have the money to pay for another office visit, yet they did not care. Click to report rating    4/9/07   5     5     5     5   My dog suffers from a skin ailment and Dr. Stephen Lemarie has been wonderful! She is now a healthy and happy dog once again. The staff is great, the location is convenient and their pricing is very reasonable considering the specialized care my dog is receiving. I cannot say enough great things about them. RID: 3365
