9/12/12   3     3     4     1   Went in for a rabies shot. Was told the dog had to have a full exam. Told them he didn't need a full exam and I'd only pay for the rabies shot. They took his temp. Charged me for a full exam. Told me it was state law. It isn't. They lied. I've read the law. RID: 37151
Click to report rating    8/25/11   5     5     4     5   I have had 2 sets of 2 dogs and have used Chickasaw Trail Animal Hospital since it opened > 16 yrs. ago. Dr Scholl and her staff are very compassionate, caring, friendly and sympathetic. They treat your pet as if it was their own-both in good health and at the end of life. I would not anyone else caring for my pets. This is definitely worth checking out!! RID: 27180
5/14/11   5     5     5     5   These are caring, empathetic, kind, hard-working people. When our cat was dying this week, some workers stayed until almost 10PM that night to try to stabalize him. The doctor who was treating him came in on her day off because she was so worried about him. When we finally made the wrenching decision to euthanize him, the doctor was crying right along with me. Everyone was respectful and caring of my pet. And, they took pains to be respectful of the emotional trauma I was going through as the cat's daddy. I am very grateful for the people who work there. They share in the grief and pain, too. Their job is emotionally wringing because they love and care about these pets, too. Thank you, Dr. Gillespie. I'm so grateful for all that you did for us and our boy, Chester. You have a really hard job. Your emotions took a beating. Just thank you for being there and doing all that you did. Your warmth and intense caring is very appeciated. RID: 24992

12/28/10   5     5     5     4   This is the best vet office I've been to. Dr. Gillispie in particular is an excellent doctor and surgeon, and she really cares about each patient and is compassionate. The office is very nice and clean, and the staff is professional. The prices aren't the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for. This office staffs quality Vets and staff, and they do a really good job. RID: 21618
Click to report rating    10/15/08   3     3     3     1   I have been using this vet for years for two different dogs, 1 large and 1 small. They did ok with the small dog as she was docile but they panic when they have to deal with a hyper, large dog, which is very typical of my dog's breed. The most disturbing part about this vet is the cost for anything...I had to have surgery on my dogs' ear and had to come in repeatedly and pay every time that we returned instead of correcting the problem the first time with one additional stitch. They pass judgement on the dog's behavior and deem it a bad dog (as repeated to me from a staff member (& when at home the dog plays peacefully with a 12 month old child)) without considering the fact that being in a vet's office, having surgery, being stuck in a cage, is stressful.Due to the continual "bad dog" comments I truly wonder and question how well my dog is being treated when I can't see what is going on.You would think that of all places, a Vet's office should be trained to deal w/ all kinds of animals. Click to report rating    1/26/08   1     1     1     1   I will never come back here they charge me way to much money. I took my somewhere else and it was cheaper and the took of my dog skin. I do recommend this vet the tech are rude. RID: 7112
Click to report rating    1/23/08   5     4     4     4   I've been taking my pets to Chickasaw Trail Animal Hospital for over 5 years. The doctors are wonderful and the staff is friendly, kind and compassionate. I highly recommend this hospital! RID: 7075
Click to report rating    1/22/08   5     5     4     5   In 25 years Chickasaw Trail Animal Hospital has the most caring and compassionate staff, the fees are very comparable to other clinics in the area. Highly recommend the clinic!! RID: 7065
Click to report rating    6/1/07   1     1     1     1   Charged $200 to treat a male cat for a UTI. I stuck to all the dosage schedules, even brought him back for a check-up...then he died. Why? Because this vet never checked for crystals in his urine, and never treated the crystals! I did not know to ask, but I do now--though that doesn't help my poor cat, who died a horrible death as I raced him to the emergency vet! Even the RECEPTIONIST at the ER vet knew these baboons should have checked for crystals and medicated my cat. BEWARE OF CHICKASAW TRAIL ANIMAL HOSPITAL. They either don't care, or don't know what they are doing. Unless you are a vet yourself and double-check their work, going to (and trusting) them may cost you your pet! RID: 4314
Click to report rating    5/30/07   5     5     5     5   This facility is staffed by the most caring and professional staff in the area. I felt the fees are fair and comparable. RID: 4279
Click to report rating    2/19/07   2     3     2     1   I tried this vet a few times and found that charges you would expect to find at a normal vet are padded heavily with a lot of extra fees, most of which were not necessary. I've now met four other people that switched to other vet hospitals for the same reason. People want to get good care for their pets but not be taken to the cleaners in fees for the same treatments that could be done by other competent vets for much lower prices. RID: 2865
Click to report rating    2/9/07   5     5     5     4   I have had nothing but great experiences with this vet. I have two cats, both found as strays when they were a only a couple of weeks old, and this vet was the first I saw, but I fell in love with them from the beginning. I even started taking my ferret there. They fawn all over my animals and are speedy and make themselves so available to answer any and all questions you may have. All the vet techs are fabulous and personable and my favorite Vet there is Dr. Mackey. She's known as "the canadian" and my pets love her. When she administers their shots, they can't even feel it, as they don't even twitch. Hearing a bad review on the place scares me, but I can't help it. I still love them! RID: 2778
Click to report rating    1/7/07   1     1     1     1   I took my young rabbit there because she was having diarrhea. They said give her hay. She died the next morning because of parasites they DID NOT TEST FOR. They said the only thing they could do is give her hay. It then was passed onto my other rabbit without us knowing. They said the same thing. Found out from another vet she had the SAME parasites and they did blood work and tests to help her. At this point, she had been too sick far too long and she didn't live much longer. Thanks to Chickasaw, my rabbits did not get the treatment they needed. We were told not to worry and give hay when they needed serious medical attention. With proper treatment when I FIRST took her to the vet my bunny could be here today. Thanks Chickasaw trail!
