There isn't enough bytes in this comment box to describe how happy I am with the care my cats and birds get at South Hyland. Everyone that works there is awesome, has responded to all questions, researched when they didn't know an answer, and have always been available in emergencies. I've been a client at SH for 10 yrs.

My dog and I did not have a great experience here, maybe they are more suited to say, reptiles and birds and cats. It sounds odd to say, but I almost felt like they were scared of my big dog...which led to him not liking it there and me not bringing him back. A few of the people (veterinarian and techs) seemed to lack experience, some of the vet techs hardly seemed to acknowledge my dog in the rooom, but there were some very nice people there. The receptionists are great. The facilities are nice, but I have chosen to bring my dog somewhere where I fell like they ENJOY having him come in, and not vice versa!

Dr. Vicki Schultz is an excellent Avian Vet. She saved one of my bird's life after 2 other avian vets failed to help my cockatiel. She has also treated 2 of my other birds with a visable caring and kindness. You can feel how much she cares about your family member (bird). Also I would like to mention how kind and caring the staff is at this clinic. I heard about the clinic from the U of M's Raptor Center, they recommended her and if you have a bird, I think in our area she is tops.
