I called them on a Sunday to put my 16 1/2 year old kitty to sleep. It was a long drive from McKinney Texas and worth every mile. They handled the situation with grace, dignity and much compassion. I even called a couple of days later, concerned about the euthanasia process and the doctor was abundantly patient with me. Kindness in her vocal tone was very healing. I even called this vet on behalf of my baby before that to ask some questions and she was helpful, as if I was the only client in the world. Should I get another kitty or kitties, this vet is my #1 choice!

Dr. Vaughn - owner is the best. My dad let me go with him to Rutherford's starting in the fifties. Sometime later Dr. Vaughn worked there and then eventually bought it - and he is as good today as back then - better. He is a man of integrity that cares and is the best at what he does. About 30 years ago I went to Preston area vet because it seemed cooler and I was an idiot. That guy kept giving my Yorkie vitamin shots and she didn't improve. I returned to Dr. Vaughn and he took one look and said she had Parvo and it might be too late. It was. I don't go anywhere else anymore. He's the real thing and is as good as he seems. Long live Dr. Vaughn - please never retire. (He doesn't spread this around, but he price matches!) He only hires the sweetest people. Oh yes, the ugly old building isn't ugly anymore. He showed his good taste and kindness towards dogs in his renovation. My name is gale murdock and mean every word.

I absolutely love Rutherford Vet. The staff is wonderful and extremely friendly. They are open 7 days a week which is very convenient for people with busy schedules. The facilities are very clean and the atomosphere of the office is very cozy. I highly recommend Rutherford.

I took my puppy to Rutherford because they were one of the few places open on Sunday. I was very impressed with their staff and clean facilities. The veterinarian, Tiffany, was great and super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be taking my puppy back to Rutherford.

I highly recommend this vet. Dr Toboben is the best. The staff is excellent. They are friendly and treat the animals with the best of care. I have boarded my dogs there and used their doggie day care also. My dog actually likes to go there!
