I work with a large rescue organization in the Wash, DC area and have been using Indian Head Animal Hosp for many of our rescue dogs and all of my personal dogs for the past 7 years. Every day I am thankful that I found this practice. In the 30 years that I have had dogs I have never been more satisfied with a vet hospital. I trust all of the vets 100%. The bedside manner is excellent and compared to most DC metro area vets they are super affordable. I even board my personal pets there when I am out of town and I have never trusted any boarding facilities. Overall this practice is perfect in my book and my book is extremely picky.

I have been taking my pets to this Hospital for over 20 years. I am very happy with their service and find them to be very caring and attentive to my and my pets needs. Sometimes the wait can be long but it is well worth it. I cant imagine going anywere else!!!

I have a VERY shy rescue. Took her there for ear ailment-made clear her issues. staff took her by collar & DRUG her by neck across waiting room. I said once 'dont drag her!', staff cont. to do so. I stood up, said 'Dont do that!, pick her up'. Staff said 'she's got 4 legs, all of them work'. My dog was so scared, she peed &****ed all the way....scared to death! went to vet with complaint. was told 'i cant help what you 'percieved'. told him 'percieved' was subjective, this is what I SAW. vet said 'i'm not arguing with you'. no apology, nothing. They did her surgery fine, but if you dont care that your pet is drug across the floor by her neck in sheer terror, fine. Who KNOWS what happened when I wasn't there! The WORST emotional trauma on my dog since she was rescued from a breeder 2 years earlier, the WORST PR, no apology, my feelings weren't acknowledged, and vet KNEW what happened because when I came back to pick up dog after surgery he said 'I understand you were unhappy'
