Dr. Ron and his team took excellent care of our dog. They treated him as if he was one of their own. We returned from vacation to find our dog, who was perfectly healthy when we left, with a very serious infection and there was a concern at first that he would lose his leg. In a matter of days, Dr. Ron had our dog on his way to a full recovery. Along the way, Valley Central gave us daily updates on our dog’s progress and were kind enough to send pictures of him while he was in their care.
Dr. Ron and his team brought our dog back from the brink and we are forever grateful for everything they did for our pup. No bones about it, Valley Central is pawsitively the best!

We brought in our 7 year old female tuxedo with trouble breathing and swollen stomack and they would do nothing else but give lasix and oxygen because in our panic we forgot our checkbook and only hhad $150.00 cash Despite the emergency they refused treatment for the almighty dollar, sent us home with our cat JAZZIE WHERE SHE DIED NEEDLESSLY DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO WAIT A DAY OR FEW HOURS FOR MONEY WHICH WE HAD! We had to drive 42 miles to get there in a blinding rain storm. Our Vet. who was off because it was a Sunday did a autopsy and it was a simple hairball compacment that got infected creating acetes/fluid build up creating the breathing difficulty that a simple removal of the fluid with antibiotics would have been a one hour operation and because of money our baby died in our arms while we tried to pull her through the night to see her Vet. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! It is money oriented first and Dr. Heather Regan is heartless and only interested in money first SHAME!!

I'm sorry to see such negative ratings here. I had a great experience with this facility and had it not been for them, my furry love would not be here today. I came in on a Sunday night with my dog, Jasper, who had bloated. I wasn't sure at the time that it was bloat, but indeed it was and his stomach had twisted. He had to have emergency GDV surgery and had his stomach tacked. I was told he had a 50% chance of surviving surgery and the next 3 days following would be critical. This was in February and it is now May, and I'm happy to report that my big handsome man is once again happy and healthy. I can not thank Dr. Heather Regan who performed Jasper's surgery or the caring staff enough. They saved Jasper's life and for that I will forever be thankful. I would highly recommend this hospital. It was VERY expensive I wont argue that, but you can't put a price on the love of your animal. He was worth every penny.

Way overpriced for the services rendered. Brought my dog in for some stitches and they wanted to run all kinds of tests on him and perform unnecessary work. It cost me $600 for the stitches. Compare that to an $86 bill for a recent trip to an after hours care center for my son who needed stitches. And that's without any insurance coverage! Why should it cost $500 more to stitch up my little cock-a-poo? I'll never go back there again.

DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE...more concerned about form of payment than healing. A very cold, insensitive receptionist named Kim is the first assault upon entering the building with a nasty demeanor & her hand out for payment while your pet is suffering & scared & you're upset & vulnerable. Then you wait & wait & have to look at her cold unempathetic face while your heart is aching for you beloved pet. The medical staff gives you no definitive answers but are quick to explain that you will have to use the services of the "separate" doctors that they share the facility with when they arrive at 8:00 AM for more detailed testing (why aren't any of them on call at this "emergency hospital" if they are truly interested in saving lives. Also, there was NO interest whatsoever in discovering the cause of death for learning purposes for the future. $1,500.00 for a dead pet with no explanation of cause of death or why they allowed my pet to suffer unnecessarily. DRIVE TO QUAKERTOWN!

I wish I would have read these reviews before I went here since they are pretty spot on. My vet tried to unblock my cat as an emergency visit on a sunday but couldn't get it to unblock and suggested this er vet so he could be observed and have surgery if necessary. I was seen and sent home, but my cat still couldn't go to the bathroom. I had to bring him back 24 hours later and was told I had to pay $195 for a consult and $255 for an ultrasound (I paid $270 the day before for an exam and xrays, etc). They said they were a completely different entity than the ER and I saw no evidence of this anywhere and was never warned I'd be charged again for a visit 24 hours later when they should have never sent my cat home. The front desk girl cried because she couldn't deal with the fact that I was not happy about that. The vet spoke to me in the room and was totally nasty telling me I either have to pay the consult fee or I will not be seen. I obviously chose to leave.

I have had the misfortune of taking my very sick dog to these idiots. They wanted to put him down, after telling them no, and I really don't want to get into this, but trust me, they are all idiots. They called my regular vet to tell him that we would be there the next day to put him down, our regular vet examined him again, and saved his life, we would have lost precious time with our baby had we listened to these people. They were anxious to get us out of there because Panera Bread had just set up their supper spread in the conference room, they wanted to eat!! Take the trip to Quakertown, they are great and actually care about the animals

I can not recommend this facility for the emergency treatment of animals. I would sooner make the drive to Quakertown or New Jersey than to Valley Central. Most expensive vet emergency service on the east coast...Valley Central. $1,600+ in 4 hours and my dog still died. If my dog didn't have a chance, why didn't they tell me up front? Instead they got $1,600 out of me, plus another $300 for cremation. And it was non-negotiable.

Our Labradoodle pup of 8 mos. was run over by a car on a Sun. evening and we rushed him to to this facility. On duty Vet Paul Nader was having a busy nite and was handling all cases at hand and stabilised our pups injuries and was very informative on his survival chances. The awaited call came the next morning from Dr. Hodges informing us of our pups 100% recovery to come.Stabilised by Paul Nader, and treated by Dr. Hodges for 4 days after brought our pup home to us to recover with 2 fractures to his pelvis. The staff,Dr's,and nurses were all amazing.Pricing is what we would have expected for this type of emergency. Two weeks later our pup is doing very well heading to his full recovery. We have certainly found ourselves a new and very capable Vet and facility for our dog.

This place is very expensive and the billing staff doesn't give a damn about your financial situations. They are clueless. I would much rather drive the distance to Quakertown, where the staff and doctors are very friendly and the facility is better.

I took my cat there when he blocked. The next day they called to say his bladder ruptured and emergency surgery was necessary. Even after this $3500. he had a 25% chance of survival. I opted to try the surgery... several blood tranfusions later, Dr. Candace Carter said my best option was to list him as DNR and let time take its course. She said taking him home was surely a death sentence. I took him anyway and within an hour of being home, he was eating, drinking and urinating on his own for the first time in a week. After taking him back to his normal vet I was informed the surgery was EXPLORATORY and the fluid build up they said was from a ruptured bladder was nothing more than an IV not administered properly. Valley Central took advantage of a very sick kitty and worried owner. Now I'm left to fight a $6550. vet bill for a cat that was just blocked when he went in!

This rating is for a certain vet only, not the facility as a whole. Generally when dealing with the facility, they are state of the art. But avoid a vet named Paul Nader at all costs. He is the worst vet I have ever encountered and you will regret taking your pet to him. I would not take my pets to him if he was the last vet on earth.

Excellent facility, my vet uses them as a backup as well. Took excellent care of my dog, even the the outcome wasn't what I hoped for. His last hours were comfortable and he was cared for until the very end.

I went there with a critical emergency. We ultimately lost the dog but it was certainly not due to the care given him. (He was comatose when he was taken in) The staff was excellent, both the doctor and the support staff. Communication was excellent. I just wish they were closer to me! My regular vet uses them as her back up. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Here are just two among several very unsatisfactory experiences with Valley Central. I needed to transfer my cat to their facility for overnight care. My vet had written all the orders, yet Valley Central made my pet wait for critically important treatment until he was seen by their vet, which was unnecessary. At the very least, they could have gotten him started on the fluids he needed, even if they wanted to charge me vet's fees. After waiting an hour, I told them I was taking my cat home. That's what it took to expedite the process. Even then, the vet gave me an incorrectly dire prognosis. Had I not just come from my vet who knew better, I may have put my cat to sleep. My cat recovered. Last weekend, he injested something. I called Valley Central reluctantly. They said there was nothing they could do. Hours later, thought to try Quakertown Animal Hosp. Fantastic in every way! Resolved the problem that night. Valley Central's a real disappointment. They're my last resort from now on.

Have used this practice on more than one occasion. Great with dogs and cats, pretty good with birds. I would use them again if I had to.

Friendly, helpful, caring, personable, professional, unparallelled veterinary care, respected by other veterinarians and referred by many of their clients. I volunteer with a dog rescue and we have used VC for at least 10 different dogs (orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, cardiology), and they have been absolutely wonderful with each and every one of them. I can't say enough wonderful things.
