I used the services of Freeport Veterinary Hospital for a few years and was very pleased with Dr. Radding who is the owner of the practice. Dr. Radding moved out of state and left the management of the facility to Dr. Karin Tichy and since that event I feel the mission of the hospital has changed. Simple advice now requires a wellness visit for the prescribed fee of around $50. This office does not like writing prescriptions to be filled at other supply houses and their medications are marked well above other facility's in house price points. I feel this office is far from practicing medicine for the best of the animal and betterment of the community and more about its own bottom line. I would also like to acknowledge that to be fair they have very personable office staff and some top notch vet technicians. I also feel that the owner's wishes are not respected as much as they should be as the steward of the animal. If you actively are engaged with your pet look elsewhere.
