We had an emergency this weekend with one of our dogs. We went to Blue Pearl in Ann Arbor. After depleting all our cash we have on hand, I called our vet this morning to see if they could see our dog. We have been going to Animal Kingdom for at least eleven years. I explained our situation and that because the bank is closed today for a holiday that we couldn't pay for services till tomorrow. I figured since we have an eleven year relationship with this vet that it shouldn't be a problem. I was appalled when they said that they had to have payment today for services rendered. Seriously? You couldn't wait one day? I asked to speak with the owner Dr. Marsh, and after sitting on hold for over 6 minutes she came back to say that Dr. Marsh couldn't come to the phone but that she said that payment must be made same day. I'm sorely disappointed. All this time I thought it was about the animals when apparently it's all about the money.

I believe I am finally done with this vet. Originally I had chose them because of their flashy facility and pricing. But in the past year and a half my first vet quit so I was switched to a second one, who also quit. When I asked for a prescription refill (he has been on these for years) they said since both of my vets quit I need to make an appointment with another one first (what?!). Add to that, that most calls are not returned or they can't answer your question unless this is your vets day to work. They took and charged me for xrays which they then admitted they lost. They never did credit my account which they stated they would $89. After further checking this vet I have found out that none of the vets (except one lady who is never there) has any more than 5 years experience. On a side note - rooms are very very tiny and on one trip they put me in a room that gagged me because it stank so bad. Luckily I could open the window to survive.

They are very pricey. I am rating them as poor because they have been dishonest in their dealings with me. The reason is that this vet ( Animal Kingdom Vet Hospital, Ann Arbor - Saline, MI ) will not allow me to order from PetMeds even though I did sign a waiver in person. They refused to send the waiver along to PetMeds.
Note follows from Animal Kingdom to me (My order was actually for Interceptor.)

Dear Mr. Miller,
We recently received notice from Pet Meds that the request for Heartgard had been denied.
The reason given was there is not a current heartworm test on file.
Instead of using Pet Meds, we could have you come in and sign a waiver (since you keep
Suki on year round Heartgard) and purchase Heartgard thru the Office here.
The waiver would be good until April 2012.
