They had been our Vet for years for my 2 dogs. I had one who had developed a tumor on his leg that was now blood red, I called about what to do. I was told surgery may not work, as he had just done one who had his leg amputated and still died. The best thing was to put him down. Trouble was it was late afternoon and husband wasn't home yet to hear the news. So when he hit the door to find out, the vet called to see if and when we were coming as he was waiting, impatiently it seemed. What a thing to come home to. Next year our other dog, who'd had tumors removed on ear and in mouth before, was bleeding again from the mouth. Recommended the same action, to put down, but this time he told me he wouldn't do it as the dog was too big,125# and the 100# dog from before hurt his back after explaining the details I didn't want to here about disposal of body. Was absolutely stunned by lack of compassion from this vet. Had to find another vet to do the job. Won't recommend to treat any creature!!!

I wish I could give this vet a negative rating. I have a neutered male rottweiler I made an appointment for over the phone because he was limping and in pain (they were informed on the phone of his breed, age, sex). After being checked in, the vet walked into the room, looked, at my dog, and said, "I don't see male Rottweilers or Pittbulls. Sorry." Not only had this been a huge waste of my time, it prolonged the amount of time my dog had to be in pain. My dog, who is a friendly puppy, had made no agressive or threatening behaviors. I think a vetrenarian that discriminates based on breed and not on individual behavior lacks integrety and compassion. Any animal that is sick or in pain may have unpredictible behavior regardless of the breed. Fortunatly my dog had only a minor problem, but what if he had a serious injury that needed quick attention? I encourage you to think twice about taking your dog to a vet that is too busy being a bigot to taken care of an injured animal.
