If you have a dog, you're in luck; if you have a cat, you will probably want to go somewhere else; if you have tests done (these people want money, PERIOD) and you want the results, good luck getting them; the priority is dogs, and they seem to get easily overwhelmed with the simplest of tasks; they may be somewhat cheaper, but the customer service is lacking

Our cat had started limping suddenly so we took him to Value Vet to get looked at because we were unsure exactly what was wrong. We told them we had limited money to work with and they did tests, x rays, gave us pain medication and told us that he had a fracture, which they said is highly uncommon for a cat. It cost us 175$ for the visit and they told us he needed surgery immediately and refereed us to a specialist who wanted 150$ just for a consult, which of course we couldn't afford.
We were freaking out because we couldn't get the surgery they had said he needed until we went to another vet who redid the x rays because the set Value Vet did was such low resolution, only to find out there was NO fracture at all, he has arthritis. 0.o Ok to me that is a huge mistake that cost us a lot of money that we couldn't afford and personal grief.
Yes, Value Vet may get you in and out in a jiffy, but they obviously do not have the equipment or experience to be dealing with anything major.

NIGHTMARE! I brought in 2 stray cats to be neutered/spayed, unless they were FIV positive. I payed almost $200 for the male cat to be vaccinated and treated for other problems, and then told at PICKUP that he was FIV positive! They called to tell me about the other health concerns so that I agreed to pay for the treatment, but neglected to inform me of his positive FIV testing. The vet told me that it was their "policy" not to call about a positive FIV testing. Numerous times I informed the staff that these were strays, not indoor pets, which makes the fact that they called me regarding other health concerns that cost more money, but withholding the positive FIV test results makes me feel that they intentionally took advantage of me.

I was skeptical when I first heard of Value Vet. My pets are family members, and I didn't want to compromise their care to save a few bucks. After being disappointed by several vets in Nashville, we decided to give them a try. I am SO glad we did!! The staff and doctors truly care about EVERY animal and "parent" that walk into the clinic. They are very good and affordable. Not super cheap, but you will not be sold products or services that you do not need. I recommend Value Vet to all pet owners I meet now. You will not be disappointed!

This is a great place. I took my puppy for his first shots and the whole staff was very nice to him. There was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. The vet didn't talk down to me like so many others I've been to, and they didn't try to charge me for little things I didn't ask for like nail clipping. The building is a nice building and easy to find. Also, if they can't help you they will tell you where to go.

I have three dogs plus fosters. I have had bad experiences at other clinics but trust Dr. Watts and his staff completely. They take the time to listen and truely care about animals. I won't go anywhere else.

They helped me through a difficult time when I had to make a choice to have one of my Boston Terriers put to sleep. They helped me weigh all the options and were very sympathetic and comforting to me and at my time of loss.

They have a wonderful vet tech who is older than the others - she made us feel so welcome. Also, she was so smart and so warm. This lady did a great job of explaining everything that was happening to our cat and then was so loving to her. The other vet techs did not seem as competent, but the Doctor was a really great surgeon for our cat's spay. Great service and the best prices in town!

This is the best veterinarian team and facility in town. I have taken my two cats, Milo & Otis for all of their shots and needs, as well as other cats that I place in homes. I love Value Vet!

Love them!! I have had to wait a long time before, but I don't mind waiting for a great vet. They are so affordable, but don't compromise your pets needsb/c of low prices. They are professional and love the animals. they are honest about costs and they don't try to sell you a bunch of services that you don't need. I do wish the facility was a bit larger for bigger dogs. But we love Value Vet!

Dr. Watts and his staff cannot be beat. I have referred dozens all with the same rave reviews! Value Vet was voted #1 in the Best of 2006 Reader's Poll for the Nashville Scene too!
