Most of the staff here are fantastic, I'm writing because I had my cat spayed there and it wasn't a good experience. Up until the day of the surgery things were great. Day of surgery, with no communication I had a new vet whom I had never met. Dr. Johnson performed the procedure and closed with staples. This was a surprise to me since my other cat had been sutures. This also made me sad and upset, I imagine the constant poke of a staple in the abdomen for 7 to 10 days as it healed to be unpleasant. When I returned for staple removal and voiced the trouble I had with staples coming out and needing an emergency visit to repair them. She stated that these heal fine. When staples were removed her wound wasn't healed and there was pus in the open wounds. I've never gone back and would recommend that anyone having a spay done, request sutures. The compassion wasn't there with her and I was upset that I was never informed of the change in vet performing the surgery.
