8/13/12   1     1     1     1   Anyone that goes into veterenary medicine usually loves and genuinely cares for animals. It is obvious that this vet could care less about them. I HOPE I never have to use this clinic in an emergency while taking my frequent trips from Canada to Minneapolis.Very poor taste to leave a dog bleeding to death and SHAME on that vet. RID: 36474
Click to report rating    7/14/12   1     1     1     1   i was camping out of Grand Marais when my dog ran onto the dock at a lake and right into the fillet knife my Dad was using. I grabbed her and ran to camp!  We immediately took off to the nearest town, Grand Marais! The office was closed, however the vet there lives above the office and was home!  I asked her to come and at help get the bleeding under control, but she refused us care and told me to drive 3 hours to Duluth to the Affiliated Emergency Vet Hospital!  I explained to her that my dog was bleeding to death and I again requested that she just try and help me get the bleeding under control so she could make it to Duluth!  Again she refused!  I drove back into Grand Marais and stopped at a gas station to try and find a vet closer that would help when a first responder rendered aide at at least got the bleeding to subside so we could make it to Duluth, which we did do and my dog is alive, thankfully!  But, had it not been for a first responder helping, she would have died!
