I find the staff very friendly and the vet is well experienced. I only had one mishap when i took my senior 15yr old cat in for a nail clipping. We couldn't get him to sit still so the vet came in and grabbed him by the back of the neck and lifted him up on his hind legs! I was not impressed and it was the first time I've heard my cat actually hiss(he's amazingly affectionate, even at the vets he was purring). I thought that was harsh, especially to a senior cat. We did finish his nails(they didn't charge me for it. I did get my 2 younger cats neutered there with no problems and my one cat had a rare problem, 1 testicle developed on the inside, but luckiy Lukens had previously dealt with this before and knew what to do and even called me to tell me before he started.
