Click to report rating    10/3/15   5     5     5     5   Great caring service. I don't know why there are complaints about their prices. I called 4 different places for surgery prices and they were always less and even almost half the price of 1 location. I have been going there since having my first dog spayed as a pup. She will be 12 at the end of this month. I have taken all 5 of my dogs,my sisters' 3 dogs and 2 of my friends dogs, Everybody from client services, vet techs and Vets are amazing! LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Those of you who complain that their prices are too high may one day realize that "good practice" is worth paying for. Very compassionate and helpful. Currently drive 2 hours to get my pets there. The ONLY vet I trust!!! RID: 41459
Click to report rating    8/5/11   5     1     1     1   This place is the worst place to take your animals. I will be telling everyone not to go here for as long as I live. All they care about is money. The Doctors work on commission so they will run test and unnecessary diagnostics to get paid. I saw to many animals suffer there before they were assisted or transferred by the owners request. They over charge for everything. They have great techs and client service team there that try their best to help all the animals that walk in the door but the owner and management do not care what they have to say. This place does things against the veterinary board, One of them is having techs give rabies, and do other procedures on Sundays when there is no doctor there. If you love your animals do NOT take them here. If you go there and you wonder what that horrible smell is when you walk in the door it is black mold that is growing in the basement lunch room from the sewage back up that keeps happen. The owner was told but did nothing about it. RID: 26753
Click to report rating    11/5/09   5     5     4     5   Many people do cut corners when it comes to their pets. This veterinary service does cost more, but they are also comprehensive and do meet AAHA guidelines. A spay for $500 may sound expensive, but that is also because here they will run comprehensive blood testing to tell if your dog is going to be OK with the anesthetics.. some breeds and some individual dogs are sensitive to it. Plus, they IV the dogs instead of just gassing them to put them under. Does your dog *need* that? Probably not, but you're better off safe than sorry. At least, we would rather err on the side of safety. Anyway, we have been a client here for 2 years now with our three dogs, and we are not disappointed. There is always someone there to answer our questions and they have worked hand in hand with us to fulfil international travel req's too. We've also had Dr. Meister operate on our dog's knees, and he has been great with follow up and physical therapy. RID: 15204
Click to report rating    9/20/07   1     1     1     1   This vet's office used to be wonderful. A few years ago, I took my dog to them because he was falling (10 yr. old boxer). Vet told me he had arthritis (which I knew) and gave him meds. Approx. 2 weeks later, his front leg swelled. They suspected bone cancer and did a biopsy and chest films. Biopsy was negative and the films were reportedly negative. Dog was then put on steriods for inflammation. When he failed to show any signs of improvement after 1 wk of massive amts. of steriods, I insisted on an office visit to discuss situation with vet. I was REFUSED an office visit. I then went to office, gathered his records and went elsewhere. It turned out my dog has a mass (cancer) in his lung (which was clearly visible on their x-ray) and the vet missed it. The leg swelling was a condition (I don't remember the fancy name) that was the result of the cancer. The second vet I saw immediately suspected cancer. I would not recommend this vet under any circumstances. RID: 5950
Click to report rating    6/25/07   3     4     5     1   Horribly, horribly overpriced. They wanted almost $400 to have my dog neutered. They also insisted on running lots of blood tests that when I got a 2nd opinion the Vet said weren't necessary. They also overcharge medication - for a 1 month supply of antihistamines, they charge $65. A nearby vet charged $15 for the SAME amount. I do like Dr. Mawjewski (sp?). He is very attentive, did not push for expensive tests, etc., and was great with follow up, always willing to answer emails, etc. RID: 4849
Click to report rating    5/15/07   3     4     4     1   Horribly overpriced. Just to have my dog neutered, they wanted almost $500.00 (yes, that is correct, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS). Everytime we went they wanted to do a fecal exam ($25 a pop). Because we were going to switch to a better vet, we asked for a copy of my dog's records. Upon getting them, I noticed the dog's first fecal exam (which I never heard from the vet if it was negative or positive) was from ANOTHER DOG! Not my dog! Don't waste your time with this horribly overpriced vet. RID: 3913
Click to report rating    1/27/07   3     4     3     1   I brought my dog there just once, for an annual checkup, and it went fine (since nothing was wrong). However, when I gave their name to 800petmeds.com for a prescription for a year's supply of heartworm preventative, I learned they CHARGE for a telephone prescription! I've dealt with a zillion MDs (I'm in my 60s) and vets and had never ever heard of such creative gouging. Needless to say, I never went back to them. RID: 2224
Click to report rating    1/27/07   1     1     1     1   Too many cooks in the kitchen. This used to be a decent office. Not now. Very bad communication by staff and Doctors. Your pets spend more time with the techs than the vets and most of the techs have little experience. Notice that they are always hiring. They are VERY over priced and the service there has become very poor. I would not take any pets there again. They misdiagnosed 2 of my pets and one died and one nearly died. 3 doctors there gave me 3 different diagnosis scenarios. ALL VERY DIFFERENT. None of the vets communicate with each other. I especially do not reccomend this vet if your pet is ill or has a chronic disease. VERY BAD! RID: 2222
