Falls Rd is an EXCELLENT animal hospital. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats and I'm broke, but I take them all to Falls Rd......Vet cost is expensive anyplace you go...trust me..i've called them all. So you may as well go to the BEST

This is the worst excuse for a veterinary hospital I have ever seen. They tried to charge me to put down my DEAD dog when I brought her body. Before I did this I knew I would never take any life animal there but now I know not to even entrust them with ethical care of a dead one.

It seems that most of the people complaining about Falls Rd are entireley missing the point of taking your pet to Falls Rd in the first place. Will it cost more? Yes, almost always, but that's because Falls Rd is much more thorough than most other vets. They don't take the "band-aid and a prayer" approach; instead, they DO run a lot of tests, and they DO take a lot of x-rays, and they DO practice preventive medicine. These things are expensive, no doubt, but they're all designed to benefit our pets. I totally appreciate that not everyone can afford this sort of care, but that doesn't mean that Falls Rd is "ripping you off" or "wasting your time." It just means that you should look for a vet whose services are more agreeable with your budget. If you want basic "patch-it-up and go" veterinary care, Falls Rd isn't the place for you. And I don't judge anyone for that. Falls Rd can definitely be expensive, but it's also the absolute best vet care available in Baltimore. My 3 dogs agree.

Brought 3 dogs in for the advertised reduced price spay/neuter. When I arrived they told me aboutquite a few extra charges. I elected to only get surgery on 2 of the dogs. I expected my bill to be $223- it was $355 when I came to pick them up. They claimed the female was in heat (she wasn't) which resulted in extra charges. From talking to other dissatisfied customers I've found that the ALWAYS say the females are in heat. I was also told that one dog needed eye surgery and was given an estimate of $1600-$2200. I had the surgery done the following week at my regular veternarian's for $500! Avoid Falls Road. Big, big ripoff.

I have delt with falls road animal hospital for a few hand fed birds and exotics, and they have been nothing but excellent to me. they were friendly, and caring, and explained to me all of the procedures and options, and realistically what the would recommend i do personally, for my budget the cost wasn't a suprise like it can be at other places. they are very direct. loved it!

Terrible experience! Took my dog there to be neutered and was told that I could pick him up between 11 and 8 pm the following day. Arrived after work the next day at approximately 5:30 and left with my dog at almost 7:30. A 2 hour wait just to pay my bill and pick up my dog! Upon picking him up I realized that his paws and tail were covered with ****. I don't know if it was from my dog or the conditions of the cage, but I certainly demand more sanitary conditions from a place that just performed surgery on my boy!!! Going back to my previous vet that I should have never left.
