Have always had very good experiences here in the past with all of my cats. We don’t have someone we usually see but have meet most of the doctors working there (Dr. Duff, Dr.Wu, Dr.Arad) and they are very nice and knowledgeable. It was only on our last vet appointment that let use with a distasteful taste. During the appointment Dr.Arad believed that there was something wrong with our cat and suggested a lot of tests and x-rays. We trusted the expert and agreed to do what he said we needed. By the end of the day we ended up doing multiple x-rays that didn’t show much and paid an extravagant bill and told to go home with our very sick cat who was deemed stable. We dropped off our cat the next day with Dr.Wu to continue with the treatment Dr.Arad suggested and the x-rays finally showed something as enough time had passed. Left with a sour feeling and felt that Dr.Arad upsold us on what we needed to do with our cat. Turns out he’s fine now and Dr.Arab scared us with needing to do surgery

I recently had to put my elderly cat down. The staff was nothing, but respectful, and compassionate. A big thanks to Dr. Guy ! An amazing vet, who made sure my cat was comfortable in his time of need. Would recommend Fraser Heights Animal hospital to anyone looking for a great vet !

Dr Armstrong extracted my dog's tooth without notifying me or getting authorization. The estimate Dr Arash provided to us was $350 and he assured us that due to the healthy conditions of my dog's teeth, that NO EXTRACTIONS were required. The hospital charged us for an unauth extraction, pain meds, as well as 5 units(50min) of anesthesia. I called and explained that no one had called us to let us know that an extraction was taking place, and whether an extraction was actually performed bc no one had even mentioned it when my dog was picked up. The receptionist said she would speak to the dr and call me back within 30min. NO CALL. I called this morning, only to be told that I needed to wait until after 1pm to speak to a manager. If you love your pets, do NOT trust this hospital with the care of your loved ones. They will NOT call you to obtain proper authorization, they will perform unnecessary procedures, bill you DOUBLE, and not even apologize/try to take care of the situation urgently

They don’t care if your animal is dying. No money too bad your pet can die. Always have to wait along time for my appts. Only Dr who actually cares is Dr Candy Duff. Will never go here again. To bad your pet can just die if you have no money

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this clinic. Staff are attentive, compassionate and extremely competent in their care. Everyone one I have interacted with has been kind and patient and they all clearly care for the animals they treat. Dr Arad is collaborative, and explains diagnoses and recommended treatment plans very clearly and patiently. I know my lovely aging cat is in excellent hands each time I bring her here.

I've been here on 3 separate occasions and all 3 times the staff were incredibly rude. I did not get greeted, nor smiled at while waiting at the front desk or the whole time I was there. It seems as if the front counter staff are always having a bad day. I get attitude from them over the phone as well while I'm completely courteous. I'd also arrive 10mins early for my appointment but I end up getting to see the doc 15mins after my appointment time and the doctor ends up cutting the session short because she has another patient. She (the vet) was also non informative about when/what age to get shots, what shots are needed, what to look out for, etc. even though I told her this was my first pet. Terrible all around. They desperately need new management.

Was very upset about being bullied (twice) into vaccinating my dogs, even though I went with information about titre tests and the idea of putting the dogs on a three year vaccine protocol, which is what is recommended by CVBC (College of Veterinarians of BC). These vets seem to be pushing items for money and not what is in the best interest of the animals. I will be looking for a new vet - one that is current with the practices!!

My dog became WORSE after taking the first dose. Doctor tells me to stop this medication and come back for different medications. They still charged me for revisit because my dog needs OTHER MEDS INSTEAD OF THE FIRST ONE that made his health conditions worse. I DO NOT recommend this clinic to others.
Also the cost of medication is much higher than they should be.

We've been going to this clinic for well over 12 years. Over the years our cats have seen almost all the doctors. It's an excellent establishment. Right now, we see Dr. Arad. He's a great vet. Very thoughtful and loving towards our cats.

Dr.Cindy Duff is amazing..you can truly tell she loves animals. I brought my female cat and the whole time she kept patting her and kissing her making her feel comfortable. I wasn't sure if my cat would eat the pill form, so let my cat eat some wet food there with the pill. She took lots of time with her and did not even rush..which is nice when your spending a lot money per visit. She also cut my cats nails...She does the little things that most vets don't do..I highly recommend her.

I had been going to this vet for a few years and was very happy with the service. This past year the staff have been extremly difficult. I made an appointment for my large dog and took the day off to find out my appointment was never entered in the system. My option was to sit around all day and wait for an opening which the staff said was highly unlikely. I will never go back there because of the staffs lack of professionlism but the doctors are good.

I have been going to this vet for years with my cats, and always see Dr. Mitchell. She is very knowledgeable about all kinds of problems, and very straight forward about what's wrong, and what she thinks you should do. She never suggests things that aren't necessary. I can tell she really cares about every pet she sees, and she really takes her time with each appointment. I also find that the staff that works there is very caring and friendly. They all help make the hard times when your pet is sick a little bit easier.

We have used this clinic for 15 years. They are always up to date on treatments, especially breed specific. When we can't see Gary we are happy to see any other vet there. Amazing people, amazing care.

I had taken my cat in to check her ear and was told that she needed surgery for a hematoma. I had just adopted her a couple of months previously from a rescue but didn't know she had a bad case of ear mites. I had just moved into the area and this clinic was close to me. The surgery cost me close to $2000.00. The staff was rude and not caring with her. I had to take her back in as she was getting sicker. Saw the owner this time, and he was even worse. No compassion for my cat. She was screeching as he poked into her ear like a crazy man! Geez, she had just had surgery! I asked him to be gentle and he was so rude with me. He was handling my cat like nothing I have experienced. I wound up having to pay more money and by the time all this ended my bill had totalled $3500.00. Ouch! I would never recommend this place! Because they messed her up more, to this day she suffers with her ear. When Leaving with my cat, the people in the waiting room said they were scared to see him!!

We have been loyal to this vet since using them when our cat was dying and they were the only ones who would look at her at the late time of the day. She ultimately died but they did try. We have taken our dog now three times for a skin condition due to allergies and each time are charged for tests (same symptoms exactly) and visits. I have asked for refills and was met with the irrational answer that they could only refill if it was 'say two weeks after the checkup' (the medication is for 3 weeks!). Prices are exorbitant and it takes around two hours from start to finish for a simple exam, of which the actual exam is about 10 minutes, the rest is waiting. I found Dr. Kesselman very arrogant, and Dr. Arad was so-so. I am in a service industry myself and was quite apalled by the time I was done the last visit. Not recommended.

Dr. Smith is Great! I do find it a little more expensive than other hospitals, however you get what you pay for! Although I have had waived check-up fees when I've had to come in multiple times. I have a bulldog and the breed is prone to problems. Dr Smith is wonderful with her and is so knowedgeable I don't have to worry when she's in his hands. He was so concerned for her once, he gave us his home #. Plus all the girls in the front staff are wonderful, and they are always willing to help as best they can!

I highly recommend Dr.Gary Smith! He is also interviewed lots by the press on many issues and can recently be seen in the newspaper regarding an outbreak on Parvo. We have been with him for about 15 years. Never had a problem, and has brought serveral animals back from the brink of no return! Because of him they are all still around. A++++

Dr Gary Smith has cared for animals over 30 years. We have used his services for over 12 years and find him to be extremely compassionate. We never feel rushed. Some might find his rates a bit higher than other clinics, but I don't think it's much higher. I have used a number of vets over 40 years and give him a perfect 10. He is in the Guildford area of Surrey. It takes us half hour to get there, and there are veterinarians who are closer to our home, but we feel our animals get the best care at his hospital. He veted our oldest cat, he said it was the oldest cat he had ever cared for. She was born in 1976 and died from squamous cell carcinoma Dec 12. 2006 - she was 30 yrs old. He helped me learn how to give her palliative care in the months following the diagnosis and did everything possible to help her, but the cancer was vicious. We'll always be grateful to Dr Gary Smith. I also adopted a cat from his rescue. Thank you Dr Smith! The Ecksteins.
