Click to report rating    11/6/16   2     5     4     3   My dog and myself love the technical staff and vets. My issues have always been with the front desk. As mentioned in other reviews, they tend to be rude and abrupt at times. Sadly, they are the first representation you receive when visiting or calling the site. I must say it is not all the front staff but there are a few in particular whom I always seems to be uncomfortable with. I have had billing issues (double charges) a few times and it has always been the same girls who create the errors. I have always managed to have them corrected but with difficulty, it is such an inconvenience for them when asked to deal with it. I don't know if they are stressed at work or just simply in the wrong field but it should definitely be something the company needs to look into. As far as pricing, it is getting a bit expensive. There has been an increase twice this yr in the food I was recommended to purchase. I have also been pressured to buy unnecessary and expensive products. That, I don't like. RID: 61961
Click to report rating    2/11/15   3     4     4     1   i feel that the previous 5* rating review should not be judging the treatment given to other customers - i too question the owners ethics & prices at times -overall the staff & doctors are wonderful but 1 bad experience or staff member can make or break the overall clinic RID: 55858
Click to report rating    2/3/15   5     5     5     5   I have taken all my pets to this clinic for 10+ years, never had any issues with anything. They have always been very good at their job and nice to my family. Some of the previous reviews complain about having to pay for services ?? They are a business just like any other vet.. One person complained that the front desk staff was not knowledgeable? She's not a Dr. Or vet tech I do not see why you would be asking advice of a secretary. I have nothing but great things to say about this vet, all the vets and vet techs are extremely knowledgeable and my animals love them. RID: 55743
4/9/14   4     5     3     4   This is "franchise clinic", meaning there are about 5 PetVet clinics in Ontario. This has it pros and cons. Pros: their prices are pretty good, and you get more bang for your buck. They can also afford better vets, so you will rarely come across a new grad or an incompetent vet. All the vets are experienced and know what they're doing. Cons: their exams seem to be about 20 minutes each (or less), which means the vet is always racing to the next appointment. They are pretty booked up too, so you always feel rushed. You probably won't get the same vet if you go back more than once, since they seem to have 4 or 5 vets in rotation. The vet won't be familiar with your pet or your case - they will only know what the vet before them has written in the medical record. All in all, I'd say this is a great vet if you're looking to save money or have a surgery procedure done. But if you're looking for that small town feeling/one-on-one interaction, this place isn't for you. RID: 50974
10/26/13   2     2     1     1   An abomination of communication. This this organization never follows through on the simplest of requests and instructions. Purely a money grab to the core. Amy the self proclaimed manger thinks she is a vet talking down to clients as if she constantly has something to justify. We will never be going back. RID: 47891
11/25/12   1     2     2     1   I took my dog to PET VET because he had a small foreign object in his paw and they estimated that it would cost $1100 to remove it. The vet said that its a 15min procedure and that he would be out within a hour and we can take him home. My dog previously had more complicated surgery, where he required internal stitching and needed to stay over night and it cost $600. After we told the vet that this price is ridiculous and that we need to think about it, before we left he tried selling us medication, antibiotics, and various other products and he was very pushy. This is a shame because they probably do this to every customer and people submit to their persuasive tactics. RID: 38692
Click to report rating    10/26/11   5     5     4     5   I got my puppy spayed there on the puppy plan package and was so happy with the service. The front staff was so polite and put up with me always calling even called me. I STRONGLY recommend this clinic the vets are great and really helped me feel better about her surgery and I'm a very nervous over protective owner. They really did care 5/5!!! RID: 28595
10/16/11   2     4     4     4   We took our dog here for his entire life (14 years). The staff and vets were always friendly and knowledgeable. The vets always considered our dog first, and never suggested any additional tests/surgeries that would have made him uncomfortable for little results. Our only concern was: when our family was sitting in the room with our dog, waiting for the vet to come in for his euthanization, the front desk staff came in the room and told us the payment for the urn didn't go through properly. Incredibly tacky, we were all very upset. The last thing you need to be dealing with 5 minutes before you put your dog down is that kind of issue. RID: 28342
Click to report rating    6/20/10   2     5     5     4   I take my pets there and consistently use one of the vets in that practice. I love her, she is amazing and I truly trust her. Their prices are fair, a little high for the annual shots though. They have spay/neuter plans for puppies and kittens which is amazing, but I find the annual shots are about $20 more than other vets I have been to. There are a few staff members that I find very rude and uninviting - rolling eyes when people call for updates on their animals, complaining about people asking questions, becoming short with people who ask why their bill was so high. But I the rest of the staff is amazing and make me feel really comfortable! I am planning on getting a puppy soon and will be taking it there and not thinking twice! RID: 18462
Click to report rating    4/24/10   5     4     4     4   Not bad they charged me for neuter surgery 375 other things like anaesthesia iv blood panel hospital stay extra night and bunch of other things were free.Other vet charged me 18$ per small devorming pill, there I got 2 large pills wich I give half to my dog so it dubles to 4 for 25$. RID: 17667
