My parents took my first cat to this practise back in the 1960's. We are back again with our two senior cats. We couldn't ask for better treatment from all three doctors. They are kind, compassionate, and treat each cat as if they were their own. Support staff have been wonderful in teaching us how to administer medications to them (Vit. B2 injections and transdermal ear get). We expect nothing but the best for our beloved kitties, and we know that we've found it!

We've been to many vet hospitals over the years as we've moved a lot, from Vancouver to Toronto. MVH is where our heart is. Felix our cat and Max our big lab absolutely love coming here. Dr. Conway is our regular vet. The staff members as well as doctors definitely do follow their slogan of treating our pets as if they were their own. I will always go here. Some people mentioned that they are expensive but I've found that prices are comparable to the area.

HORRIBLE experience with Dr. Lana Conway! Stay away! I went for my 1st visit to this Vet Clinic as I was sold on great reviews. It turned out to be definitely my last. My toy breed dog had an ear infection. Dr. Conway tried to examine him in my presence. He was scared with strangers and reacted against his sore ear to be touched. Dr. Conway suggested to take him to the back room away from seeing me. After about 30 minutes they brought him back. He looked traumatized and shocked. Dr. Conway told me she removed a bunch of hair from the inner ear to help the healing, checked the anal glands and teeth. When we got home, my dog was limping and crying from pain. I then take a close look to find razor cut abrasions in the sore ear, and one of his nails broke off close to flesh. Worst of all they glued the nail back to hide the breakage. We should have been told about this but wasn't. Cannot believe a professional so untrustworthy, deceiving and irresponsible. If I did not examine his paw c

Dr. Jennifer Schofield is the most compassionate, empathetic, smart and outstanding veterinarian I have had the pleasure of meeting in my time as a pet owner. She has made every interaction at MVH helpful and as stress free as possible. Not only is she smart, perceptive and intuitive but she is down to earth, kind and accepting of all situations you or your pet may be in. At the end of the day, she truly wants to make a difference in your pets life and goes that extra mile to give you and your pet the best care possible. She is everything that embodies what a veterinarian should be.
The support staff at MVH are also some of the best you will find. A group of ladies who make sure everything is taken care of. Liz, is especially a shining star. She is kind, fiercely smart and never misses a beat. She is always there supporting you, supporting your pet and making sure everything you need is taken care of promptly.
I know I always receive the best care possible at MVH.

We have used Martin's for many years for both our dogs and cats. More recently, when one of our dogs was dying and suffering from cancer, Dr. Conway went over possible options for treatment and the pros and cons of each. We were devastated but we realized that further treatment would not leave Charlie with a good quality of life. Dr. Conway was very sensitive sensitive to our needs, and ensured that the euthanasia was done in a caring and compassionate manner when all our family could attend. We highly recommend Martin’s. Our children, who have since grown, also go to Martin's for care of their pets.

We have now been to Martin Veterinary 3 times in the past month: Once because our dog had a UTI, then a follow-up checkup, and then one more trip for more antibiotics. We've spent a total of about $1300. PROs: Support staff is friendly, they are very (very!) assiduous about following up, and I do believe that the vets there truly care for animals and know their stuff. CONs: The vets (Conway and Chen, so far) are not friendly (I took this personally until I saw some other reviews); visits take ages (I still have no idea why the follow-up checkup took more than 90 minutes, with people wandering in and out of the examination room seemingly at random); and there is a repeated implication that if you don't want to spend another $300 for another test, you're somehow a bad person. I think this place is best if you're a hyper-passionate pet owner with a high-maintenance pet.

Been to this clinic a few times. Overall a good facility. My dog's main vet clinic is far away and so we use this clinic for issues when we are pressed for time and we can't travel to our primary vet. I do trust their diagnosis and care of my pet. I did not like the way Dr. Conway spoke to me last time we went in. She provided me with a quote for work and seemed annoyed at me for asking questions about the quote(as I try to be well informed before I sign anything). I also think their prices are higher than average. There is another vet there (I can't remember he name) that is really nice and welcoming.

Dr. Lana Conway is the best professional I've ever met. She brought to life our dying cat twice after regular working hours after we called her one Saturday and Sunday. All other doctors are very knowledgeable and staff is well trained. Pricing is high a bit, but it is worth it when your pet needs a good care. Good Job!

Me and my babies are new to Martin Vet Hospital. We were referred by a friend because my cat was deathly ill. They provided exceptional care and though his cancer had taken the worst turn, I'll never forget how Martin Vet helped us in our time of need. They offer the best health care, as a friend has had 2 cats live past 17 yrs old in Martin Vet's care. My two kitties, both 7 and 1 are now in their care. I can see they are in the best hands. I got to tour the facility at their 60th Anniversary this year. Wonderful Staff. Wonderful place - clean, organized and timely. You can be assured your pet will get exceptional care and yourself – good advice and no pressure. Though it's a little pricey, your 4 legged family member is well worth it.

We have been going to Martins for over 30 years for cats, dogs and guinea pigs. Dr. Conway is an amazing and caring vet and I find it hard to believe that people would call her rude. She is not at all!! We have also seen Dr. Lane and Dr. Schofield and found them both to be great vets as well. All the vets are very thorough and you can be assured your animal will get the best care needed.

I live in Mississauga and travel to Etobicoke to Martin's Vet Hospital. I recommend Martin's very highly. I have been taking my animals here for over 10 years. My dog and cats receive excellent care. My dog is a Chow. They are a difficult breed to handle. My dog really trusts Dr. Conway, Dr. Schofield and the staff. They are very good with her.

My family has been going to Martin's for over 20 years. Throughout that time we have found the staff helpful and informative. Dr. Conway is an animal angel. She has been caring and has gone out of her way on many occasions to ensure the care of our pets be only the best. Dr. Schofield has the same compassion and dedication. We would not think of taking our pets to any other location

This is one veterinary clinic where each and every staff member truly loves animals. They have always gone above and beyond all my expectations and have helped us to save the life of one of our cats who had a urinary blockage. When this same kitty needed to lose some weight they found the perfect compliment of foods to feed him that worked wonderfully and was not stressful to the kitty or us! Would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family - their love of animals comes through loud and clear.

I have been using Martin Veterinary Clinic since Dr. Lana Conway arrived there in 1983; and I've recommended it wholeheartedly to friends and neighbours. The vets working with Dr. Conway are also highly qualified; and they follow her example as professionals devoted to their work who treat animals (and their owners) not only with knowledge but also with compassion. Obviously the staff have all been trained to observe the same high standards. I've been taking my dogs to Martin Veterinary Clinic for preventive care, special needs (e.g. dental work), referrals (e.g.when one dog needed a cataract operation), and boarding. At present, my older Standard Poodle is looking forward to her twelfth birthday late this month. If it hadn't been for Dr. Conway, Shira would not have made it this far: she came to me as a puppy from a line troubled with liver disease. By using a special diet and particular supplements, as well as having frequent check-ups, we've given Shira great quality of life.

We wouldn't take our family member anywhere else other than Martin's. The staff is exceptional. The doctors do an excellent job of communicating what's being done and you have options when they err on the side of caution. They know us and our dog by name and provide excellent service.

I honestly have no idea what issues people could have with the staff here. I brought my cat in with serious dental issues, as well as the follow-ups to make sure everything was healing nicely, and if I wasn't so attached to my cat I'm fairly certain they would have (lovingly!) whisked him away for themselves! My cat was treated like their own, the front staff always ask to see him, Dr Conway loves him just as much as I do, and the assistants are nothing but sunshine. Dr Conway herself explained everything to me without talking down to me, even bringing out books to help show me. She is a great doctor, and I personally love that she knows how to talk and joke while shoving a thermometer up my cat's bum, but apparently some people don't know how to deal with that.

Martin Veterinary Clinic is top notch. I love that the 3 Veterinarians are women, who demonstrate their love of animals in the care of our four cats and follow up calls after visits with sick felines. We have sadly had a couple of cats over the years we had to put to sleep and the obvious warmth and empathy for our sadness simply can't be faked. The entire staff, from receptionists to technicians to the Vets always make us feel welcome and like family. Keep up the great work!

We love this clinic - they literally saved the life of our border collie pup when another clnic misdiagnosed her. We have now been clients for almost 8 years and both our border and now our cat are seeing Dr. Scofield. We absolutely love her - she is amazing with the animals and is always so upfront and knowledgeable. Have recommended the clinic to many and will continue to do so!!

The doctors and techs at Martins are remarkable. All our dogs love them. They have always given amazing care and continue to do so. When we lost our 17 year old shihtzu they took the time to send their condolences and it meant so much. Our current puppy is not very fond of strangers but when he sees dr Schofield he is always friendly and happy. You couldn't find a better place for your pets. The criticism of their prices is rather petty. Its a private clinic with above average staff and service. They have never made Me feel forced to purchase any product or service in fact quite the opposite, they always do all they can to ensure i pay as little as possible.please continue the great work

I have been going to this clinic for several years. They are amazing and obviously care about the animals they care for as well as the owners. I went through a very difficult time when I lost my 17 year old cat and a year later my 13 year old cat to cancer. The staff and doctor at the clinic were very supportive and considerate of my losses. A few years late I overreacted and brough in my new cat, they were great even though he was in excellent heath.

We can't say enough nice things about this vet clinic. They're professional, caring and really helpful. We trust them to provide our two cats with the best vet care possible. When we've been travelling and had problems, they've worked with a local vet to provide us with care. Thanks to everyone at Martin Vets!

We have been going to this vet for many years and there is nothing negative I could say about them. They provide excellent care and genuinely care about each animal. They also provide excellent boarding services. We always leave our dog with them for boarding and as we pull up to Martin Vet, our dogs can hardly contain their excitement. I drive 30 minutes just to get to this vet and I would highly reccomend it to anyone.

I was shocked by my 'professional' encounter with Lana Conway, not only did she openly criticize neighbours and their pets, some of whom had been her clients, but after I told her that we were missing our dearly beloved cat and were making Herculean efforts to find him after he was taken or left our backyard, which she saw, she apparently without our knowledge or consent removed remains of our sweet cat feet from our property, unilaterally took them to her clinic for her 'inspection' (she had never seen him before) and then waited for more than 36 hours to attend at my door together with her civilian friend to let me know that she thought it was my cat that had been eaten by coyotes. When I asked her what protocols needed to be followed if that were the case, she did not comment, it was in a residential neighbourhood in a yard, lots of people and pets around. She apparently did not think that we would have liked to know this before we continued with hope and intensity to search all o

Wow looking at some of the reviews I have to wonder if they are rating the right clinic! I understand that people vent our of anger but to rate Martins 1111 across the board, definitely somebody had something other than milk in their cornflakes that day. The staff is great from reception to the techs to the doctors. The facility is first rate and they offer everything my pet needs on site. I have had to wait for my appointment but nothing like I wait for my own doctor. I don't mind waiting because I know that they are giving the client before me the best care possible and I love watching the CDs they have playing in the waiting room. I know I have gone over my allotted time because they are being thorough with me. As for price, try going to your own doctor, getting the advice, care, knowledge, tests and medications and having to pay for it without our healthcare and see how much it would cost. I have never been disappointed when taking my pets here!

We brought our cat here a couple of years ago. Dr. Schofield was amazing, but we had an appointment with her once where she wasn't able to come in and they substituted Dr. Conway instead (without advising us until Dr. Conway walked in)...and it changed our minds about the clinic completely & not for the better. Our cat has since passed away, and we've recently gotten a new one...we considered taking him elsewhere, but we really did like Dr. Schofield. I've asked that a note be made that we are never to see Dr. Conway.

We have been going to Martin's for several years. All the staff act with the upmost professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge. Any procedure is explained fully, weighing all the pros/cons and alternate treatments. The facilities are always sparkling clean as is the entire property. Only had to wait once for an appontment, only due to an emergency arriving. Any animal owner/lover would understand an emerg comes first. Dollar for dollar, Martin's is completely compatible with any other clinic in the Eto. area. You get what you pay for. I only want the best for my two boys, I get that with either Dr. Conway, Dr. Schofield or Dr. Lane.

I love going to see Dr. Schofield. She is an amazing person as well as being a wonderful and knowledgeable vet. I was referred to her by a friend of mine and I will never go anywhere else for my pets. The hospital is always clean and the staff always treat my pets as if they were their own. As far as price goes... you get what you pay for! I had taken my pets to another clinic close by and thought that cheap was a good thing but after being at Martins the others cannot compare.

Very expensive! The cost for spaying our puppy was more than double the price we were quoted from several other clinics. Definitely shop around for quotes as this is the most expensive clinic we have found. On the other hand, the service is exceptional and the staff will take the time to explain everything in detail. They are also friendly and very good with animals. The appear to really be loving what they do.

THey seem to know what they're doing but they will suck every penny they can out of you. They wanted a minimum $695 to neuter and microchip my puppy. They insisted on checking his teeth and doing exams x3 in 3 months charging me about $80.00 an exam. And that was just the beginning. Dont go here. There are just as good vets out there that respect your pocket book at least a little.

After being made to jump through hoops to get a prescription for cat food faxed from another vet, I was given the wrong food. When I took the bag of food back and alerted staff to the error, I was met with blank stares and a "who cares" attitude. Finally, I asked to speak to one of the vets who was apologetic and condescending at the same time. I would rather take my pets to a clinic where the staff show care and compassion.

Staff and doctors are very nice, the facility is first rate, but they are an example of what Verinary Medicine has become. A true business where the goal is to get as much money as possible out of a client. Took a cat there with an infected paw from a thorn that probably would of healed on its own. After treatment and 3 in my opinion unnecessary dressing changes, at $37 each I spent over $700.00. At this stage I pulled the plug on treatment and further dressing changes. I removed the last dressing myself and the cat was fine the next day. After this incident I take my dog elsewhere.
