I did not have the best experience here. The staff will blame you for their own mistake. The vet tends to not know much regarding animals.

Took my cat here for 17 years. Extremely expensive for a consult vs other vets in the area, and when your pet is sick and they recommend RIDICULOUS tests they'll say charming things like "well I mean if it was covered by OHIP you'd do the test no problem, right?" You know what test they forgot to recommend when it was really necessary? A blood test. When my cat got very VERY sick suddenly, they refused to take us because they just didn't have time for us that day, and we had to wait a few days. Another vet in the area took us instantly and treated him promptly. He was shocked they didn't recommend a blood test and went straight to recommending a $3500 MRI. The blood test was all that was required... NEVER again will I go here. The office is clean, at least.

My pet has had an specific issue for a year and half. Three different Vets at this clinic looked at him and did not discover the issue. It was my son who pointed out what the issue might be. The Vets at this clinic should be ashamed that they could not diagnose the issue that was caught by a layperson. To add insult to the injury we had to pay for three visits to the veterinary clinic for the misdiagnoses.

I have been a long term client at Bramalea Animal Hospital.I have always been very happy with the followup my pets have all receive. The reception staff are always very helpful to me. This clinic is always clean.
Over the years I have noticed that the prices have gone up at the clinic. Some seem pretty drastic but for the service I receive I'd rather pay a little higher price for quality of care. My pet has recently visited Bramalea and had to have surgery and has since been back many times. All because this new doctor has no idea what she's doing. When she finally got the nerve up to talk to me she sounded uneducated. I would ask a question and would get a response my teenage daughter would give ("Like, umm, I don't know"). I have never experienced such poor service here until I meet this new doctor, Dr. Lam. I will now only be going to Bramalea Animal Hospital for my pet's food needs as I now have a completely bitter taste in my mouth for this clinic and "doctor" Lam.

First of all, Dr. Telep charges to much....... as they all do at B.A.Hospital. He is hesitant when trying to diagnose my cats. He cannot put a proper detailed summary at the end of his examinations. He leaves you wondering why you went to him in the first place, and why he cannot tell you what is wrong with your pet. To many 'ifs' and 'maybes' and says things like: 'THIS IS STRANGE' or 'I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU' or 'IM NOT SURE IF THIS IF A BLOOD TEST WOULD HELP' I actully feel my cats are helpless when I leave his clinic. As they say on the DRAGONS DEN show: For those reasons.....IM OUT !

My cat needed 2 surgeries, first one was to remove a kidney stone and 2nd was life saving. It was a 4 week long ordeal and Dr. Telep and Dr. Chaudhary who did the surgeries and all the staff were amazing. They truly care about all their patients and the owners. e.g. I would be in visiting with my cat after surgery and it was to be Dr. Telep's day off and he would be there. On Sunday when the Hospital was closed, I knew they were there taking care of my cat and would call me to keep me up on what was happening, they not only called in the morning to let me know, but they would call back at night. Very comforting for me. I cannot thank them enough for all the have done for my cat. Hoping that your pet never needs to go the Vet for anything other than yearly check-up, but know that if they ever have serious issues this would be the Hospital you would want them to be at.

Hello,..I cannot help but to add my ratting to this clinic because I see other people have the same opinions and feelings. I think DR.OATS is a good VET but he just fell on the wrong side of business. MONEY,and again MONEY IS NOT EVERYTHING !When it comes to our 4 legged friends and their health we treat them like family !! DR OATS talks to much and very inconclusive like he is trying to get you in a very costly deal which you should take anyway !! SORRY SIR but you have to OVERHAUL your PHILOSOPHY !! and better upgrade your clinic when it comes to diagnostic (ultrasound and surgery ) ,and don't try to nickel and dime for every 15 min. spend with your patients !!SORRY but i'll never come back to you AGAIN,I found other VETS which do exactly the opposite of your modus operandi!!

Dr.Chaudhary is afraid of cats and I am not sure he likes dogs either. When I go there, I request Dr. Bachand. She is wonderful.

Two years ago when I moved I started going to Dr. Oats. He charges double the fees of the other vets I have seen over the years. He constantly tries to push more and more unnecessary medications, just to make a bigger profit. He's never on time for his appointments, having to wait for at least 45 minutes (to over an hour) past your appointment time. Needless to say I will not be going back here.

Although I agree that Dr "Oats" is a talkative fellow, I believe he really does have our pets' best interests at heart. He has a great deal of knowledge & tries to pass this along to his clients, albeit sometimes he tends to go over our heads with his information. There are 2 new vets there,Dr.Bachand & Dr.Chaudhary, who I have had positive experiences with as well. Overall, the entire staff are very caring & compassionate & have helped us through some difficult times with our pets. I wouldn't go anywhere else

Note Dr. Van Veen, who I agree was wonderful, is no longer at his clinic. Dr. "Oats" Telep is the main vet. He talks too much but not about useful info about your pet. Doesn't listen to your concerns, & is unable to answer questions about your pet's health. When my pet was diagnosed with diabetes, he kept talking about putting her down although I clearly said I wasn't interested in that. He discouraged me from doing home blood testing so he could charge me $50 every time he did a blood test using the same glucometer I bought for home. It cost me $70 (the price of the testing strips) to do 100 tests at home. When I questioned him about the insulin I was using based on info I found on the manufacturers site, he ignored me and started telling me about human diabetics. Cats metabolize insulin quicker than dogs so they need it ever 12 hours not 24 as he prescribed. When I told him what I learned online, he charged me for consultation. My cat is fine now no thanks to him.
