Veterinarian here has been suspended for practice due to malpractice, determined by Veterinarian College of Ontario. My rabbit died as a result of misdiagnosis by the vet. She failed to diagnose and provide appropriate medication. The manager (Vicky) is very unsympathetic, and rather put the blame on the owner for the rabbit's death.

I would never take my pet bearded here again. Not very helpful so our lizard had tail rot they gave her antibiotics which helped but she was not eating when I called millennium they told me that's not good and to bring her in again. The medicine worked but millennium wanted us to pay for them to reexamine her then they would schedule her surgery, they would not give me a price for the surgery. Such a cashgrab.

The clinic is full of caring people who have done an amazing job of caring for my pets. From routine, scheduled work to emergency situations I have felt that my pets were well looked after.

Thank you all at MCVH for keeping my 20 year old Syrup happy and healthy. A couple months ago I thought I would have to say goodbye due to her chronic kidney disease however the amazing vets there accurately diagnosed her and the staff nursed her back to health. Now she is her old self chasing my 1 year old cat around.
As a fellow veterinarian, albeit one with workplace restrictions on providing veterinary services for personal animals, I have entrusted the care of my special needs pets to MCVH and they have never failed to exceed expectations.

The second visit to this Vet was to get my kittens 1st set of shots at 8 weeks. There was a different Vet who saw her, who had to poke her 3 times before she was able to actually give her the vaccine. She even dropped the needle on the floor once and had to change the needle. This vet told me my cat needed to have her stool DNA checked (because of diarrhoea) & that my kitten had a heart murmur which may need to be checked with an ultrasound. This visit was approx $160. After 5 days my kitten became VERY sick- shaking and limping. I took her in for an emergency visit (after googling and determining this was likely a reaction to the FCV vaccine- feline flu basically). I was told we needed to run blood tests, this was likely F. Leukaemia or Feline AIDS- $360 later I found out it was neither of those diagnosis (both were negative) and in fact I WAS RIGHT, it was feline flu. My cats will never see this Vet again. They are expensive and unprofessional. They are hypochondriacs.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.. all the 5STARTS below are B.S! .. People who are friends of them, they don't accomidate you if you are in desperate need to get your pet in, maybe if u spend money there every year they might be, but if u just happen to call and try to get in with an emergency, they don't seem to care to much unless you are a regular, first thing they ask is that, and then when they do make time days later, they charge for unneccessary exams, x-rays, blood work, that SHOW .. yep u guessed it nothing.. seriously take your pet to a place that has 5STARS or close to it, we all aren't crazy leaving 1 stars .. and nor would we take the time to come post it if we were.. so please save your $ and your beloved pets take it somewhere , where the ratings are 100% safer is better then sorry! think about it

Called this clinic and told the guy on the phone that my 4 month old puppy looks like he had broken his leg! .. Guess what the idiot told me!! .. That he couldnt get me into see a vet but I could make an appointment for the next day! Lol are you kidding me this guy was actually telling me to let my little puppy suffer all night in pain with a broken leg and come in the next day!! Unbelievable! Will never use this clinic ever! All they care about is money! .. (called a next vet clinic and they were very helpfully giving me all the information I needed to get my puppy seen and treatment ASAP NOT A DAY LATER!!

Wanted to take my birds there to have just their nails clipped but was informed I'd have to pay for two "physicals" at over $70 EACH before they would clip them at an additional cost of $17 each. Amazing that a flurry of 9 sensational ratings came have come all of a sudden.

In highschool I did Co-op at this veterinary hospital. I have to say everyone there is amazing. Dr. Saywer is one of the best vets I've ever had the pleasure working with, and has helped validate my future career choice. She is incredibly knowledgeable and treats every animal with respect! You know your animal is in good hands when you bring them there.

This is definitely the clinic you'd want to take your pets to. Amazing staff, very knowledgeable veterinarians, clinic is beautifully one-of-a-kind, and many more. I have nothing negative to say about Millennium City. I love this clinic and I will definitely not take my pets anywhere else.

I have been a customer of this hospital for many years and always look forward to our annual visits with my dogs. The staff is always very outgoing and courteous and make me feel welcome. I never feel like they are trying to rush me out the door, which is an experience I have encountered more than once at other clinics. I have always been happy with the quality of care my pets receive and feel the pricing is very fair. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a veterinarian to look after their babies!

This clinic is FABULOUS!, Dr.Sawyer is one of the most amazing vets I have ever brought my dogs too!. My chihuahua almost died 3 times from eating crap he shouldnt have and she saved him each time! Vicky the vet tech is a very close friend of the family and goes above and beyond her line of work! These ARE infact the people to go to! Very professional and clean. For all the bad comments on this clinic, I am sorry about your luck but unfortunately not everyone is perfect including yourselves. Keep up the good work guys!!!

I have always had a very good experience at Millennium City. The doctors seem very knowledgeable and I always walk away from there confident with how my pets are treated. The staff are very helpful and patient with my questions. Most importantly, they all seem to genuinely care about my pets.

This clinic is definitely one of the best clinics in the area. My pets have been to a couple of different clinics (Toronto and Ajax), and the reason why I kept moving from one clinic to another is due to poor quality of service. Millennium City is where my pets found home. The quality of service that they offer is something that people don't often see nowadays. The clinic is clean, and the staff are very personable and knowledgeable. My pets and my family are very lucky to have found this clinic. I've gotten the pleasure to meet three different doctors, and all of them are very nice and helpful. They are readily able to provide answers to all of my questions. Also, the cost of services is very reasonable, in my opinion. With the quality of care that my pets get from the staff, I have nothing to complain about. It's especially nice when they'd call me a few days after my pets' visit just to check on how they're doing and whatnot. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! :)

I take my dogs and birds to this clinic. My one dog is very nervous and takes some time to warm up. The staff is always extremely understanding of her nerves and let her get comfortable before they proceed. They take their time with us and answer all my questions. The entire staff is very respectful, honest, patient, knowledgeable, understanding and professional. The facility itself is always clean and free of unpleasant odours. I have never had a bad experience at this clinic and will continue to take my animals there.

I have a new puppy and took her to the pet store for a nail trim. She did not have a good time there at all. The staff did not have any patience with her because she was young and she even cried when they cut one of her nails! I decided to take her to my vet (millennium city) for a nail trim this time and they were great! They were very patient and understanding that she hasn't had her nails cut very much and was scared. By the end, she was happy and I was relieved that she had a positive experience.

I was extremely surprised to read the previous post in reference to this hospital. I have taken MANY pets to see Dr.Sawyer and have learned over the years of her extreme passion for the profession and her obvious love for animals. The staff has always been very helpful and courteous and I would never go anywhere else. They seem to always run on schedule as I have never had more than a five minute wait for my appointment. I feel they are very quick to share as much info as possible and I always learn something new at every visit! The vets are very good at explaining to the lay person!

WOW- What can I say, I received a letter in the mail a few days ago, saying that this vet clinic is termination their agreement with me to care for my dog in the future, this saying after they took a whopping almost $2000 dollars from me. I believe they saw a review I posted on another site, and therefore sent me this notice, as if i was actually going to continue to take my dog there anyways.I wouldn't. I wish I had seen the reviews on this site before I wasted my time. my dog almost died, and they gave her medication the first visit that didn't help her, she relapsed ended up back in there for their amazing $150 dollars a night rip off deal, where my dog couldn't keep in her IV so what really did they do for me? nothing .. took my money, they ended up finally giving me different medication to take home with, and she improved, I honestly thought my dog was going to die, now I'm thinking about suing them, and I wish anyone else with similar issues to contact me godguideus@hotmail.com

The staff are only concerned about the montary end of things. It wasn't until I left the clinic that another clinic found the underlying cause to my dog's problem and it was in the blood work all the time. Dig a little deeper and read the results in full that you are requesting. My dog would not have suffered the duration had this been caught early on. Throwing pills at the secondary cause only kept the underlying cause in the back and subsequent testing would only look at secondary cause.

Dr. Sawyer and her staff are one amazing team. They are always available to me and my pets. Even if appointment time is not available, I can admit my pet to the hospital when I am concerned she is really sick and Dr. Sawyer uses her lunch hour to examine my pet, then contact me. This is one woman who has shown again and again how much passion she has for animal health and her patients. She is an amazing wealth of knowlege and has treated all my pets, reptiles, dog, cats and guinea pigs.

I ADORE MCVH! I have seen many miracles in the years I have seen Dr. Sawyer. Obviously not everything turns out for the best but I can be rest assured that Dr. Sawyer tried her best.

In response to the comment below,it couldn't be the furthest from the truth. Dr Sawyer was actually the one who got the Spca,police and town of Pickering to have him removed. She had a petition at her clinic which I signed myself with over 200 signatures to have his place closed down due to the severe neglect these animals suffered. As a result of her, Pickering is now one of the few cities to have by-laws that stipulate the conditions petstores must meet. She was also the one who had Councillor Mc Lean visit the premises to witness the conditions in the petstore. Many times she called the SPCA and on those occasions several animals were seized from the petstore.Her care and concern for animals is unmatched by any vet I know and not just for the pets she sees at her practice but she gives her time to several charities and causes such as this terrible petstore.

I would NEVER EVER reccomend this vet! ..The clinic used to be located right beside LUCKY PETS in Pickering.. their animals were sick and suffering... and the vet would have to see them every day, as they used the same door to enter the stores the kittens were right there in front of anyone walking in the door to either the pet store OR the vet office ... the poor things had over flowing litter box that clearly hadnt been cleaned in some time ... the poor kittens had serious visible eye infections ..ALL of the above disgusting things I personally witnessed with my own eyes.. on many occasions... and MILLENIUM NEVER DID A DARN THING TO HELP THEM!!! ..... Any decent caring vet would have done SOMETHING

I take my dog and cat to this clinic and I am very pleased with Dr. Sawyer and the rest of the staff. I have been to several other clinics and the level of care my pets get from the staff far exceeds other clinics. Their punctuality is excellent as I never wait more than a few minutes in reception. I wouldn't think about bringing my pets elsewhere.

I have to totally agree. I took my guinea pig to the same Dr. for mites(very clearly mites) and with my permission she did all different test in the back room and tried to tell me there were multiple illness. She tried to bill me $300.00 which I did not pay since I didn't get asked/give permission for the different tests she gave. I did not get my mites meds from her as to say the least she did not know what she was doing and I feel she was trying t rip me off.

I have gone to this vet (Dr. Sawyer) & have had problems with them in the sense of treatments. I had a rabbit that had a chronic illness and they tried her on 2 different meds. She was on & off meds for approx 2 years. The vet never tried or recommended Zithromax which I found out about through a rabbit group that I belong to. I had to request it & the med cleared up my rabbit within 2 weeks & she has not been sick since (2 years). Over the 2 years I spent approx $2000 on meds & her spay. I also had a friend who had a lizard who was ill. She took her lizard to Dr. Sawyer at Milleneum City & her Lizard never did get better. She finally decided to take her lizard to another vet who informed her that the meds she was perscribed were only good enough to keep him alive but would not cure him. She then got a new prescription & he was fine after that. This particular vet either does not know what she is doing or she is just trying to get more money out of you.
