This place is the worst veterinary practice I've been to. The doctors were nice and friendly like most clinics however, their vet techs and support staff leave much to be desired. I once saw the receptionist who I believe is named Leah, rudely scream the name of a patient who was literally standing right infront of her. Then, I also witnessed her giving attitude to a customer infront of me who wanted to pay by cash and not debit. She has also spoken to me in a dismissive condescending tone few times I visited. These lady has serious issues with her personality and not fit to handle customers.

I have been bring our 2 dogs to this location for 10 years because the vet seem knowledgeable and the prices were reasonable. Little did I know I was going to learn the term you get what you pay for. I had moved an it was a 45 minute drive to this vet so I took my pets to a local vet and one of my dog was diagnosed with a heart murmur. I disregarded the second opinion from the local vet because I trusted Etobicoke Veterinary Hospital. I started taking my pets back to EVH as one day the dog with the hear murmur fell terrible ill and Dr. Zbarsky said just some pill will make it better. The next day I brought her back in and he diagnosed her with a hear murmur and told me she might not last so take her to the ER in Oakville. When I took her to the ER they told me the staff at EVH did not notify them we were coming as they were not prepared and they did everything to save my baby but she passed away. EVH needs to smarten up and stop playing with lives. I will never recommend.

Dr white superb , first vet that I've known to lay on the floor the check out my dog. I have a 160 pound dog thats doesnt like vets , but with Dr white is like he has know him for ever . He is very experienced, honest does not sugar coat things, the tells what is wrong with your pet but always tries to be as economical as possible regarding treatments without affecting my dogs health . Very honest . I have a group of friends that we all get together saturdays to walk our dogs at the park , we all talk about how wonderful he is and we all agree he has a special connection with our furry kids. He is a talented Dr, with a gift i have never seen with any other vet. We are all sad for what happened with Dr Zbarsky he was unique in his own way , but he should know that EVH stayed in excellent hands with Dr White and staff specially the lovely Chris . Thank you all for being so special with our furry children Vets are so much smarter and humane than their human colleagues.

We brought our bichonpoodle to her vet in Bloor/Dundas and the initial diagnosis is an infection in the anal and gave an antibiotics after collecting her urine, result was given that she might have a gall bladder stone, will undergo a month of antibiotics and a special dog food that you can only buy from the vet's clinic. He charged us $210 for the initial consultation and needles and more dollars after bloodwork, x-ray, special food and antibiotics will be done. We decided to get a 2nd opinion and by searching we found this clinic with Dr. White w/ positive reviews. Initial consultation price was a bit higher that previous vet, initial finding is that our dog was fine only thing is that antibiotics should have been administered for 10 days and not a week, urine test was done. Lo and behold! all came up negative and Dr. White was so accommodating to explain everything to my daughter. We saved so much money with this clinic and Dr. White Thank you so much changed our vet to him.

Good and bad with this clinic. Unfortunately it is run by Dr. Zbarsky, and therefore it is under his control. Facilities are abysmal, lots of old discarded equipment abound. He seems more interested in having a big TV so his poor clients can endure the extremely long wait times for him, even when you have an appt. He is always late, very sarcastic, and not always compassionate even in the worst of times. On the good side is the excellent tech. staff, especially Chris and Cheryl, and the superb Dr. H. White. If it were not for Dr. White I would not frequent this clinic. This man always tells it like it is, is caring, patient, and always very professional. I hope he never leaves or I will need a new clinic.

I've been bringing my bichons here for about 20 years.Have worked with all 3 vets at one time or another and they have all be very competent. Always find the front desk staff to be caring and pleasant. No complaints. Think the price is excellent value and the best feature is the convenience of having drop-in hours every day, including stat holidays! Have recommended them to many of my friends who live in Etobicoke. So glad to have found them so many years ago - they've shared our happiest - and saddest - moments with our family with compassion and good humour.

Dr Miller is amazing. She is always so compassionate and caring not only towards my pets but to me as well. When my kitty Peanut was sick I took her in to see Dr Miller. She was straight forward with me, gave me all the options and together we came up with a plan for Peanut. Dr Miller was even so kind as to call me 3 days later to follow-up and see how Peanut was doing. I would highly reccommend her. I also love as soon as I walk in the receptionist knows me and my pets by name. Great Doctors, Great Staff, resonable prices, what could be better.

First, Dr. White was kind and caring toward my now deceased dog. Although he wasn't that compassionate when I had to euthanize my dog. Dr. Zbarsky has moments of compassion, but he talked so much at each examination that I've had to wait up to forty minutes for him to see any pet I've owned. I believe Dr. Miller is from a small town and does not have experience dealing with owners of a different race. She has made some subtle racial remarks to me. There is a high turnover at this hospital, so it's always a gamble what receptionist or vet tech you would be dealing with.
Overall, I would recommend Dr. H. White as a good veterinarian.

I am so glad that I found this place through this site. Even though it is very far from where we live, it was totally worth it. Dr. Henry white was very competent and kind, the price was reasonably. These are things that matter to my dog and me.

Best vet clinic I have ever dealt with! (And I've dealt with several over the years). All of the vets and staff at EVH are professional, compassionate, and very good at what they do. And as an added bonus, thier pricing is extremely reasonable too. I've been taking my cats to this clinic for several years now, and wouldn't ever consider going anywhere else now. One of the things that I appreciate the most is that they always tell me what different treatment options are available, and then together we decide what would be best for that particular cat, taking into account its personality, age, and so on. They never push unneeded work, or try to "upsell". Without question, I completely trust the vets and staff with the health of my pets.

LOVED LOVED this clinic. We moved to Burlington from Etobicoke and I tried a new clinic in Burlington (CORNERSTONE) and they did Xrays on my cat as he was not eating and vomitting clear liquid. They saw a "mass" on the xray they could not understand. They suggested exploratory surgery for $2000 but said my cat may die as he is old and the anesthetic may affect him. I was crying and crying. I called Etobicoke and they told me to bring my cat and a copy of the xrays right away. I drove from Burlington to the clinic and met with Dr. WHITE. He is amazing...he looked at the Xrays and told me the "mass" was his kidney and all he needed was fluids (IV fluids) nightly!! I was relieved and it is 3 years later and my cat is still alive and doing well! And I saved $2000. This clinic is honest and not out for the money. Love all the doctors there....they genuinely care about the animals and are not money grabbers.

I am a new dog owner. A friend had recommended me this place. I also called a bunch of other places with high ratings from this website, and some of their prices were ridiculous. EVH's prices are reasonable and more affordable. I went during a Wednesday afternoon -- so we waited only 10 minutes. Dr. Heather Miller was very informative and didnt try to upsell and tell me that my dog needed a bajillions things. It actually felt like a doctor's office. Receptionist was really nice too. They were also kind enough to show me how to clip my dog's toe nails too.

Dr. Henry White is by far the best vet - there or anywhere! He is the first vet I have ever had that any dog I have owned is excited to see. She loves him to bits. Even the sound of his voice makes her tail wag. He has been so good with her many problems. She is a puppy mill dog and has had one thing after another - no shoulder joint for one. He has brought her through it all. THanks!! Dr. Zbarsky, not a fan, because he was cruel to me when he put down our Bishon. The price is right but I would pay more for such great service!

Dr. White is a good vet (so far, I only met him one time). The only thing that would keep me away from that clinic is the poor customer service from the receptionist. She never smiled, rushed me when I was speaking and didn't acknowledge my dog. Other clinics I have been too the assistants/receptionists show that they too care about your pets by being friendly! I don't even like to phone the clinic because I dread talking to her.

I love the STAFF. My dogs LOVE this Vet. Dr White takes great care for my pets and his Knowledge is perfect, he knows what he's talking about and also the others that work there. I GIVE THIS PLACE MORE THEN 5, I give them a 10+. Well Done Everyone for keeping are pets safe and helping them stay healthy! Also they cut dog nails outstanding.. Better then other places I've been. Thank you Etobicoke Veterinary Hospital for taking care of my babies and to you DR WHITE A BIG THANK YOU!

Dr. Zbarsky is misogynistic, rude, and would not listen when we were trying to address the health issues of my pet. Won't be paying him any additional visits. He needs to be severely reprimanded for his unethical behaviour.

I would call this the best clinic out there. They were extremely nice to my children and myself, were at an affordable price,expertly treated my animal and showed a genuine caring for my animal, something you cant find any where else I couldnt imagine having my animals treated at another clinic

Nothing but praise for Dr. White and Dr. Miller. Dr. Zbarsky can sometimes be a bit rude. But they all seem to care greatly about the animals they treat. I'd suggest trying to get the same vet every time because their treatment styles can vary.

F grade for Receptionist customer service.
The Story...
I called in to order a refill of a medication he was taking and this receptionist said "oh sure no problem just drop by and pick it up." The next day I get there and she says that I have to bring in the dog and get him tested. But he’s already been diagnosed by the same vet and all I need is a refill of medication. Hmm gouging?
Then as I explain I was told by the Vet to hold back on food for the time being when he has a reoccurrence of this condition for a little while until his stomach settles down. The receptionist goes as far as to lecture me about having common sense about not starving your dog and you should never hold back food its animal cruelty. Common it’s only been 12 hours. I then ask her to leave a note in my dog's file and her response is and I quote "Maybe I'll remember and maybe I won't"
I don't know the receptionists name but she has tattoss everywhere and was working on Aug 18 2009 around 3:00pm.

We have had both cats and dogs which were cared for at this Vet Clinic. Our vet has been Dr. White and he is a most caring individual, really cares about the animals, goes down on the floor and let's our dogs lick him on the face. Very knowledgable, caring and professional.

Etobicoke Veterinary Hospital is awesome. My cat has ongoing kidney issues and we are working with Dr. Heather Miller to make her better. Dr. Miller is caring and knowledgeable and genuinely interested in my cat's health.

pt 3 In the end we made the decision of putting her down that day. He took really good care of my Cookie, and for that I am very truly grateful. I couldn’t have asked for a greater Dr. than Dr. White. I still have another cat, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Dr. White will be his vet from now on.

Dr. Rick Zbarsky and his staff are phenomenal. Not only are their rates extremely fair, Rick can pinpoint almost immediately the problem with your pet. His expert opinion/diagnosis at first glance is what makes me continue to go back to him. He is a compassionate man who truly cares and understand the needs of a sick or injured animal. He helped our (gorgeous) diabetic min pin, Zack, by nursing him back to life. Thank you, Rick for being the superb vet that you are!

When we got our kitten from a shelter, we didn't know any of his background. Dr Miller provided excellent care and was gentle and understanding. Because of his background, he is skittish around new people but he seems to be fine around her. We took him in for his neutering ($105) and his care is compeltely trusted in their hands.

Dr. Somer, Dr. White & Dr. Zbarsky are the BEST! They really go above & beyond the call of duty. The staff really cares & they have been extremely compassionate in the past when I had to put my elderly cat to sleep. I have also boarded my cats overnight & they take such good care of my pets. I would highly recommend this Vet. Saturdays get kind of crazy, so sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but otherwise they are the BEST!
