12/3/13   1     1     1     1   What horrible people! My indoor cat was having issues eating/drinking and started getting thin. I took him to Sohal, who insisted on routine injections to see if he recovered. At the same time my mom tried feeding him medicine through a syringe but he would bite her. There was no way to medicate him other than going to the vet. After some time of no improvement, we had bloodwork done and realized there were strong signs of kidney issues. This whole time, Sohan showed NO SYMPATHY whatsoever. He just wanted our money. My mom called to ask what we should do because he is clearly in pain and THEN he says, weeks later, that he may have rabies even though HE KNEW THE CAT BIT HER! Then we had enough of seeing him suffering and crying for pain so we called to ask what we can do. He tried selling us all these different euthanasia packages and we said no we just want to put him down. Then he passed the phone to his secretary who said sorry we don't have time right now. He died the following day. RID: 48581

6/19/12   1     1     1     5   I have mixed reviews about writing this post. Dr. Sohal has been great to our pets in the past, but recently we had a horrible experience with him. Our cat was diagnosed with diabetes. To make a very long story short, he admitted to not keeping up with the scientific literature and refused to treat my cat unless treatment consisted of an insulin that has been proven ineffective against a newer medication. Needless to say, I switched vets immediately (would you allow a family member to be treated by someone who admittedly does not keep up with advances in medicine?). Our cat has been on treatment for 3 weeks and is on the road to remission. The staff at our new clinic are very supportive, kind and make the effort to keep up-to-date with advances in treatment. We will not go back to Dr. Sohal and urge him to update his knowledge base for the sake of his remaining patients. RID: 35074

11/17/11   1     1     1     3   If you want your pets to be at the threshold of hell this is the place to go. The vet is doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, doesn't want to explain anything to you without sighing. Treated my dog poorly. Can't even cut the nails properly, cut the nerve on every one and didn't expect my dog to get upset after hurting him continuously. Just after I thought this goof couldn't get any worse, he was fidgiting around and shot himself up with a rabies vaccination and then says, "It's ok its not harmful to humans." What a complete moron. I wouldn't let this vet examine a cockroach. My dog is now getting proper care at a much better vet. I would rather spend money and get good care than save a buck and throw my pets at uncaring, uneducated jerk. This guy shouldn't be practicing. Plus the staff likes to tell alot of owners that thier pets are bad. Sorry, but take a look in the mirror. YOU ARE BAD, PETS CAN SENSE THESE THINGS!! RID: 29185

11/8/10   1     1     1     4   My rescue agency cat was supposed to have been spayed by Bloor/Kipling Animal Clinic. But she went into heat a few weeks after I adopted her. So I was told to take her to Bloor/Kipling Animal Clinic to get her spayed for free. The vet said my cat was PREGNANT! This would have been impossible. They tried to charge an extra $50 for spaying a pregnant cat. I believe this vet is dishonest, and at any rate the clinic looked dirty and unappealing. Luckily my cat survived the spaying and wasnt pregnant after all. RID: 20714
Click to report rating    12/9/08   5     4     3     5   I found this little vet clinic after being totally hosed by Toronto vets that only care about their bottom line. I would highly recommend Dr. Sohal. As for the person who said he doesnt seem to like bigger aggressive dogs, you are jumping to conclusions. I had a pitbull and Dr. Sohal always had a big smile when we showed up. He knew my dogs name and even if I brought my cat in, he would always ask "how is Spirit doing?" He was so good with my dog and he pegged some serious medical issues with my dog that no other vet did. Please people, look past the little things like the wait times and the state of the office. Clearly Dr Sohal is in this because he cares about the animals. He isn't out to empty your wallet. I take both my animals there and will continue to do so. For those of you who think the office isn't up to your standards, please feel free to go elsewhere and pay double or triple for the same advice/services. RID: 10848
Click to report rating    7/29/08   5     2     4     3   Dr. Sohal is kind to the animals and very reasonable around costs. The staff are amazing. The exam room is clean and fairly reasonable but has anyone been in the operating room? I don't think it is up to par in terms of infection control; it seems dirty and unsterile, ie. operating room has plastic cover with duct tape on it to keep it in place, table top where meds are looks dirty and mouldy. Ask to see it before you agree to your pet undergoing any surgery. I also question Dr. Sohal's skill at surgery. I think he is great at routine exams and needles but question his skill around more complicated surgical matters. Just being honest. RID: 9492
Click to report rating    5/27/08   5     4     3     5   Excellent vet. Very reasonable prices. And, if Dr. Sohal thinks a pet problem is beyond his expertise he refers to someone else. He saved my dog's life. The only drawback is that appointments tend to be late b/c he's so busy. RID: 8615
Click to report rating    4/5/07   5     5     3     5   Great, unrushed service. Dr. Mohal and his assistant take the time to listen to concerns and to answer questions - that's why they're always behind schedule! They don't recommend unnecessary tests and procedures and the prices are amazing. Our animals and our budget love this place. RID: 3284
