Completely unprofessional
Dr. Johar puts his ego/pride ahead of the welfare of sick animals.
He refused to perform a scheduled tooth extraction surgery of a broken tooth on my dog, despite my dog clearly being in pain, after I asked to see whether x-rays taken during a previous dental exam at his clinic, showed any issue with said tooth. Regardless of whether he liked it or not, a good vet would swallow his pride and show the x-rays, since I paid for them and it's my right to see them.
It's clear now why this clinic is always empty of paitients when I visited in the past.
Avoid at all costs!

I like to going haney because they have very friendly staff and doctor. I take my puppy because he had a heat stoke. They save my baby life. I highly recommend this clinic

I went to this clinic once when my regular was closed and it was a HUGE MISTAKE. The doctor was very rude and dismissive. He wouldn't discuss options for treatment and insisted that we immediately do surgery without telling me what the problem was- language barrier?? My cat ended up okay, he had a small abscess, but the bill was huge. I went back to my regular vet right after and was told that, not only would they have charged less, but the problem wasn't as serious as the dr at Haney made it sound. Their receptionist was nice but that's about all this place has going for it!!

New to M.R our 10 yr pitbull had 2 skin tumors,1 was big&wouldn't stop bleeding.Called Haney Animal Hospital the lady I talked to on the phone said that I can bring him in right away.I did & seen Dr. Johar advised to do surgery,went ahead with blood tests to see if he was ok for the surgery.Got the results the next day & he was ok,I read all the reviews on this website for every vet in Maple Ridge,all of them had 1 or more bad reviews.It's not a good feeling to have when your loving family member has to have surgery.Our pitbull doesn't like alot of people but he had no problem with Dr Johar giving him a blood test or his assistant picking him up to put him on the table,these 2 things & the receptionist was caring & understanding.(THEY SAY DOGS KNOW GOOD PEOPLE)I went with what my dogs behavior was & What I thought.This is why I went with HANEY ANIMAL HOSPITAL.VERY HAPPY TO SAY SURGERY Was a success.I have the most UPMOST TRUST in Dr JOHAR & Assistant& receptionist what an AwesomeTeamA+

I had a horrible experience here with my 10 week old puppy. She had a irritated ear, and he proceeded to say that I was, more or less, an awful dog owner. He didn't do a swab to check what was wrong and jumped to conclusions about what was irritating her ear. We spent almost $200 on different ear drops and food to help her heal and it didn't work. We switched to Dewdney Animal hospital, they took a swab, were VERY kind, and found out that it was just a common yeast and it went away after the PROPER treatment. I will NEVER go to back to Haney Animal Hospital. Dr. Johal is rude, and he jumped to conclusions about the prognosis of my puppy's ear and about my personality. I wish I had said something to him at the time. "If I didn't care, or if I was a 'bad' dog owner, then I wouldn't have been at the vet to ensure my dog's health".

My cat was sick, so i went to Dr. Johar, must say he is an excellent doctor with full of knowledge. I visited other doctors but they could not diagnose the problem. Dr. Johar is very caring and the staff is very nice there. I recommend this hospital to everybody for best service and reasonable price. I am very happy, my cat is eating drinking normally, doing great. Thanks again Dr. Johar.

We have been dealing with Dr. Johar for the last 4 years. We drive over 30 minutes to the vet (we used to live closer) because their prices are reasonable and they take wonderful care of my two dogs. They have very accomodating hours, and wonderful staff. I do however insist on seeing Dr. Johar. I've seen two other vets there, and they haven't been as good at diagnosing problems.

I have been dealing with Dr.Johar for the past 9 years. He is experienced,smart and honest. He always looks for the benefit of the animal and the owner. He always tries to save an owner money where he can and avoid any uncessary treatment. His prices as compared to other veterinarians are very reasonable. For example I compared his Advantage product prices to many other clinics and they are a significant amount cheaper. Since I go there so frequently with my animals I have seen the care and honesty he provides for others clients as well. I recommend Dr.Johar his facility and staff members to everyone.

Made an appt with this vet for my 15 week old rabbit. I gave her name and age to the female on the phone and she booked it for Aug 2. They did not require an initial exam prior to the surgery which I found peculiar, since she had never been seen there. I went to drop her off and was sent home because she was too young, even though I gave her age on the phone. On Aug 23 I called because Precious was bleeding from her vulva or anus and I thought she may be in heat or possibly in danger. The woman on the phone stated it was normal and she was in heat. I asked her how long the bleeding would last and she said "It depends". I trusted her word, since she's a professional. I found out Aug 26 from another vet that she could possibly have parasites and that female rabbits do not exhibit heat. My poor rabbit has been bleeding and suffering for a week! This vet has no business practicing on rabbits. Filed a complaint with the CVBC.

I have been dealing with this hospital for last 5 years and never had any problem. my neighbour has also been going there for long time and is very happy with Dr. Johar's services.My cat got her hip surgery done last month and now she is recovering excellent. he opens late and charge less as compared to other vets. some other vets are not happy with this as I know. regardless I will highly recommend this vet. Dr. Johar is professional and caring vet.
