If I could give ZERO STARS, I would and here’s why. I was taking all of my animals including my Great Dane, Sulley, to Carthage Animal Hospital until recently. I had chosen that vet due to his breeder and many blood relatives of his lineage were patients there as well. His breeder also highly recommended them. My Great Dane presented with excessive vomiting although still had an appetite, fever weight loss, and decreased alertness the day after his neuter stitches were removed. They told he he was most likely septic (infection in his blood) but he showed no signs of infection from his neuter site. After hundreds of dollars for IV fluids, anti-nausea medication, and antibiotics given throughout that entire day I was sent home with my dog. That night he declined in his condition and I called Carthage Animal Hospital the following morning and spoke to a tech who told me that there wasn’t anything else they could do for Sulley and to continue his antibiotics and nausea medication.
