I initially started coming to this clinic because they were thorough, close to home, and charged less than the other vet I was going to. This year the yearly exam for only 1 dog plus 28 pills cost $310! (I went to a cheaper place w/2 of the dogs & it was $310 for both and a chest xray too.) The people here are great, they are about my pets, but the prices have gone up to where my pocket can no longer afford them.

I have been with Hardin Valley Animal Hospital since the beginning and have been very pleased with the excellent care both my Goldies have received. The staff are wonderful and very easy to talk to. They really do care about your pet and it shows. I feel I will continue to be a part of the HVAC family of clients for as long as I have a pet.

Very up-to-date vets who listen and are open to looking at studies that clients bring in. Good with senior cats. Good value for the money. They do a day board fee if you drop your pet off in the morning to see the vet which I thought was weird and unfortunate, but other than that, they are good. They really know their stuff. Dr. Smallwood, especially, has good bedside manner and will explain everything. Dr. Sponsellor knows her stuff but is more expedient. They are open to try new things. Both seem to really love the animals and enjoy their jobs. The staff is nice. My pets don't mind visiting this vet! Also, this vet is rescue-friendly and works with several rescue groups and hosts adoption fairs.
