We took our dog there for four years. At first we liked them, but by the fourth year it was apparent that they were declining in quality of service, and their charges for care were increasing. The last time we went there they treated our dog for a skin and an ear infection, and the medication they gave her destroyed her hearing. After attempting to get information about the reason for the hearing loss we were repeatedly rebuffed and after calling them multiple times we were told not to come back. They also called the sheriff, claiming that they feared me (I never threatened, raised my voice or behaved aggressively in any way). We filed a complaint with the NC Veterinary Medical Board, and after review the board issued a “letter of caution” to the vet, citing his failure to provide an explanation of the treatment risks and treatment results, and conduct unbecoming a veterinary professional for refutó communicate with us.
