My dog just had knee surgery. Everyone was so great, helpful and kind to my dog. The surgeon called both before and after the surgery. The prices were more than fair. The only reason I did not give a top rating for the staff is there is one vet there that can be cold and rude. All the rest are fantastic.

WMHS is not cooperative, puts down perfectly healthy animals, misdiagnoses pets and it is all about money, space and not for the animals and their owners. Their partner, the Westland Animal Control Officer, does not even like animals and has openly admitted that he only does the job because of the money. Do not recommend this agency, esp. if you are looking for a home for a found pet or have to give up your pet due to circumstances beyond your control. Look somewhere else, there are plenty of no kill rescue groups made up of volunteers who foster and find homes for your beloved pet and provide better services with a genuine heart of love.

My fiance and I took our Pit Bull puppy to be examined and the vet definitely did not like Pit Bulls. She was very rude throughout the examination. When we went to the desk to check out our favorite vet tech knew we were not happy with the vet. The front desk staff and vet techs are wonderful, the prices are great, but after that incident with the vet---we haven't returned.

Prices for care seem good but the place is very, very busy. Not a lot of individual attention was given to us in particular, maybe others have had a different experience. It felt rushed. I had my dog spayed last week and she seems to be doing well. Everything was a bit rushed and somewhat disorganized as far as staff communication with each other but all-in-all, my experience with them was OK.

I will NEVER deal with these people again.My dog was sick,so i took her here.They recommended X-rays,Checked her for parvo said there was no way she had parvo.Then told me that 4 vets looked at the X-rays and she needed emergancy surgery to remove blockage in intestins.Asked me if i wanted her spayed in the operation, i said no not till she was better.They did the operation and spayed her anyways without my signiture on the spay paper.They call me and tell me what they did, then told me there was no blockage,that she has full blown parvo.They had to keep her till she started eating and drinking and using the bathroom.That night after the surgery she vomited a leaf from a plant.I asked if there was any way that was poisoning her,they said there was no way.They said she had full blown parvo.SHE NEVER ONCE showed one sign of parvo.She was sick over a week before i took her,she wasnt even dehydrated.Anyways after she vomited the leaf,she was better.only she had an 11 inch cut on her belly.
