Southview is great! I drive 45 minutes across to see them, and I can get in the same day that I call. They are open 7 days a week, and on call 24 hours a day, which is important to me as a breeder. If I have an emergency in the middle of the night, I don't want to see a vet that I don't know. I always refer my puppy people to this vet as well.

They perscribed a medication for my cat that is very commonly known to be unsafe for cats. The staff was rude, I had to wait and long time before I was helped, the prices were high compared to other local vets, and exam room was tiny. I would only use this vet again in an extreme emergency and I would research any medications they perscribe before giving them to my pets.

The housecall service is exceptional, especially for at-home euthansias. I foster special-needs cats for a rescue organization, so I use this service a bit more than most people and have called on Southview for both emergency and scheduled situations. During a recent snowstorm, two of my cats decided it was time to pass on (one from kidney disease and one from cancer). I did not want that to be a long and potentially unpleasant experience for any of us. Dr. Foster and Maurice braved the weather to come to my house and euthanize my beloved pets. Their demeanor with me and with the cats was exceptional - gentle, caring and understanding - and the cat's passings were incredibly peaceful. It is this outstanding level of service and compassion for both pets and their owners that brought me to Southview initially and that prompts me to recommend it so highly.

Two weeks ago, I noticed and abcess when I was brushing my greyhound's teeth. The next morning, I called Southview to see if we could get him seen. The woman on the phone was great! She got him an appointment for that day. My husband brought Tarzan in for his apt. Dr. Foster gave us an antibiotic for infection and suggested we come back for a cleaning ASAP and to have the tooth extracted. Dr. Foster reassured my husband that they have other sighthound patients and are aware of the special anesthetic needs of a greyhound, etc. We decided to go ahead with the cleaning. Not only did they do an awesome job on cleaning, they called my hubby to talk to him before extracting the one tooth. We received two follow-up calls: one from a staff member and one from Dr. Foster himself. We will most definitely be making Southview our regular vet! Snaps to Dr. Foster and Staff!

Dr. Foster and his team saved my cat's life last month. Her PCC (packed cell count) was 13 (should be 30+) when I brought her in. He and his staff were terrific, even calling around to get an exact blood type match for the transfusion. I didn't have a vet for her when she got sick so I called 3 shelters for advice and got the same recommendation every time -- to take her to Southview, that they were the best. I'd have to agree, not just from my experience but also the other pet owners I met and talked to while I was there.

I love this clinic. Dr. Foster is on call 24 hours and saved my dog in the middle of the night. He actually came to my house because I could not get my dog up. He transported him back to Southview were he was treated for several days. They called my several times to update me on his condition. The staff are wonderfull. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants great service.

I have been bringing my pets to Southview for many years. I am now living much further away but continue to bring my pets to them because they are the best. Everyone is so nice and they really care about the animals.

My dog had his rear dewclaws removed and was neutered at this clinic. They did not listen to my concerns and shaved my dogs hocks all the way around for a 2 inch incision to remove the dew claws. One of my dog's incisions opened 8 days after surgery. When I brought him in to have more stitches put in place I was advised they would fix it at no cost "this time" but next time I would be charged. My dog was covered in his own waste when I got him back, not sanitary when an animal has recent surgical sites on his back legs! The techs are rude, I had to wait several minutes in the waiting room before I was asked if I had been helped. I was not called after my dog came out of surgery, I had to call them to get an update. I never actually spoke to a vet at the clinic, only on the phone. The vet on the phone misquoted prices by almost $100. I do *NOT* recommend this clinic unless you have no other option.

This vet has saved my pets lives several times with middle of the night emergencies. if you need any type of emergency care for your animal, and through the life of a pet that is highly probable you will be thankful your pet has records at southview. they are always avalable and there price is reasonable for middle of the night care. Call ahead let them know you are comming and a tech will be ready for you with the doctor a few minuets behind. I have even had a surgery performed at 2:30am. after surgery they recive around the clock observation the clinic if staffed 24-7 if there cre complications it is spotted immediatly. I admitt ther are cheaper vets around but a few bucks more for a vaccination is worth every penny to have your pets records right at hand at a capable vet in an emergency

I really think this is the best vet in the TC area. Their hours are 7 days a week & they have emergency services 24-7! They are very concerned about doing the best for the animal and with all the vets there, they can knock heads together to figure out a problem to make a diagnosis. They even consult their contacts at the U & specialists when they come for other patients. They fix knees, legs, hips with ease! Their prices are fair for all they do. I never have to wait to get in for an appointment like some other vets I have used in the past. I can call and get an appointment that day or the next day very easily. They will even talk to me on their after hours line to determine whether the issue I have with my animal can wait until morning or come in right away. They have the coolest xray machine that takes seconds to see the results. I like it because they can groom my dog there too.They know me by name and treat me like I am important! I recommend them to everyone!

I have been going to Southview Animal Hospital for the last 6 years with my 3 dogs. Dr. Foster has hired staff so that no matter what the diagnosis, he has someone there that can help prescribe the correct medicine or surgery. What I really admire is that Dr. Foster will not hesitate to send you to a specialist if they are not equipped to handle the situation (which isn't often). That gains my respect and admiration. His staff is always friendly and helpful. I know that when I walk in their door that the best medical care possible will be given to my "babies". Dr. Foster and his staff show respect, kindness, and concern not only for the animal but also the animals human family.

All my pets, 6 cats and 2 dogs come here and we never wait long, the staff is very professional, and the Vets are all great! Dr. Foster loves animals and is very compassionate. It is a very busy clinic because they have so many loyal clients! There pricing is right in line with other vets and less then the inner-city vets.

I have taken my Moluccan cockatoos to Dr. Foster for years. He is very competent and always addresses my concerns. He is an animal lover at heart and really cares about your pet. I like the fact that I can call there day or night and speak to a “real” veterinarian. I have used the emergency services also and have always been impressed.

I continued to go to Southview Animal Hospital for five years after moving to****Rapids (about 45 minutes away). I cannot say enough about Dr Foster and his crew. They will talk to you over the phone. They follow up after emergencies to be sure everything's ok and to answer questions, etc #1 vet in MN by a long shot. Derrinda in****Rapids

The staff is caring and knowlegable. The followup is great. The 24 hour emergency service with people who know your pet is wonderful.

I have been taking my Rat Terrier/Yorkie who is up in his years here for the past year and half and I have had very good service. I can get him in quickly if needed. The Dr. or staff will call a week later to follow up on Oliver to see how he's doing. They do seem to care about the animals. Have not had a bad experience.

An okay Vet but they seem too rushed when seeing your pet and dont check everything they should. Also long waits in the waiting area and in the room.

My only complaint is that the vets I have saw there tend to overlook things on my pet and then I have to take them back. They also kept my dog once for a whole day and did nothing, then when I called to inquire, they didn't even realize she was still there :-(
