This clinic is soo expensive! Most of the vets there spend 5 minutes to check my dog and they charge around 70-75 for the visit! I have never seen this in medicine! Are animal different than people in terms of medical care?Dr.Mass is the best clinician there very nice listens carefully to your concerns and she is a really good diagnostician. I have heard that Dr. Dunbar is good too however try to avoid Dr. Boisvert she is really incompetent. This dr should go back to school but wait...I don’t think they teach them common sense there!

Went there 2 weeks ago for my cat's ear infection. Great service. The follow up appt was today and they called me yesterday to remind me. Get there today and receptionist says appt is Tuesday and was rude, says too bad we cant fit you in. After we argued with them, the got a vet to do the appt. This vet gave a completely different diagnosis of the previous vet. 2 weeks ago I was told my cat is starting kidney problems. Now, this vet dismisses it and says it's thyroid problems and wants us to pay for a $250 blood test. What a RIP off too, cost us $300 for the cat's ear infection. Called other vets and they do follow up appt free or cheap like $25. Never going back there again!

They say they specialize in all animals but DO NOT bring your rabbit there. I brought my rabbit in to get spayed but ended up losing her. They are not the best with rabbits.

$235.00 for a 10 minute exam and one blood test, 1/4 of a vial, taken by the technician. I took my small dog there and this was the charge. No more, I will not go back. Are they out of their minds charging fees like this??? I have been going to Dr. AM Masse for over 25 years and since they moved to this new location with new owners they fees are absolutely ridiculous. They are money hungry bandits that need to realize their are many other competent vets in the West Island that charge much less and genuinely care about the animals. My only regret is to leave Dr. Masse, as she is probably the best vet I have ever had, however I realize she does not make the fees, the owners do.

I have been a patient at the Pierrefonds Animal Hospital since the late 80's (with Dr. Major, one of the founders of the hospital). And have been returning, because the vets are very professional and caring. My current vet is Dr. Naomi Dicks. She is one of the most caring, thoughtful and reasonable vets. She really considers the needs of the patient, and aims to help the animal and not just to cure the disease. Other vets are also very kind and helpful, and they collaborate as a team to figure out tricky problems. I feel re-assured when they seek the professional opinion of other colleagues when they are uncertain. Dr. Dicks goes the extra mile and offers me the confidence that my pets are well taken care of. Technicians and staff are also very kind, patient and helpful.

This place is first & foremost a BUSINESS - make no mistake about it. Testing was overpriced & I was guilted into doing an ultrasound that didn't really show them much apparently and really wasn't necessary. The vet doing the ultrasound was supposed to call me and never did - I had to keep calling the hospital to get news on our little guy. The staff was laughing and socializing just outside the door where my family and I were visiting with our pet before having him euthanised. Look around the West Island for another animal clinic if you are looking for people who actually care about animals and not just about making money. I have found another clinic for my surviving pet and their approach and services put Pierrefonds Animal Hospital to real shame.

Dr. Laurie Dunbar is the best vet I have ever had. She took amazing care of our dog Buster and Reggie during the ten years we lived in Montreal. I would never trust our dog care to anyone else.

Dr.Dunbar operated on my dog. The dog was there 3 days. Dr. Dunbar was amazing-she gave thorough explaination pre surgery, contacted me after, personally did post op checkups. The staff were amazing-so kind, so caring. The post op physio program with Maria is incredible. I would not go anywhere else.

I drive all the way from Hochelaga-Maisonneuve to that place. Dr de Montigny saved our old cat's (+10 yrs) life 2 years ago (no surgery, just an overnight treatment) and we are grateful for that. Explanations are always very clear. Try bringing you kids to the appointment, they will love it. Staff is welcoming and they are obviously cat lovers. Another reviewer was hinting that they recommand the food brand they carry... I would say it is probably the other way around; they carry what they recommand!

I Would not take my cats anywhere else. I have used this clinic for over 5 years. Staff and service is very good. Compassionate, kind and very attentive to owner concerns. Dr. de Montigny, our primary vet, explains everything to us, and really knows my cats. She already made a surgery to one of my cats and saved its life! Thanks a lot!

Definately OVER priced. I stopped going there years ago. There are equally qualified Vets with better prices.
