Unprofessional and extremely rude vet, couldn't even take a moment of his time to take my cat out of the carrier to look at her before stating it wasn't good, we didn't even last 5min in the room before he exploded on my mom and me because one of the staff butted into our conversation when I asked why he couldn't even look at my cat outside of the carrier.When I asked that the assistant started saying I had to listen to his professional opinion and I asked who was I suppose to talk to him or the vet.The Doctor went ballistic. Do not go here, you can't approach the vet or the staff. Pet owners beware Vet is extremely disrespectful, uncaring, and inhumane. The staff unprofessional punks that care more about gossip than they do about animal urgency. For the love of the Universe Do not go here! They deserve zero starts. The worse! I made a call before coming to ask if they could do x-rays and blood test for my dog. The day of the appointment they treated my dog really bad, she made my dog pee on the floor, she was yelling at us the entire time, said that she had a tumor by just looking at it, she didn’t want to do a biopsy or anything to make sure what it was. Told us to take her to emergency, I asked her if I could do the x-rays at least in that place and told me she didn’t have the right equipment, she neither wanted to do the blood work and left the room while we were talking with her, really disrespectful, do not recommend the place at all, me and my mom had the most frustrating moments of our lives.

Wish you could give -5 stars. So I wrote a review two years ago and was asked to take it down but I hate this place.
“This is the worst place you could ever bring your dog (pet) to or work for that matter! Needles are left lying around and not properly disposed. Dr. Shukla is all about the money and does not care about your pet. His surgeries are cheaper than most places but that’s at the risk of losing your pet. His surgeries are a “butcher service”. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT bring your pet here. You are better off going to a doctor that really cares about your pet. The equipment is outdated and old, not to mention it’s dirty!! Dr.Shukla never washes his hands, I mean NEVER! This place is disgusting and should be shut down for sanitary reasons. Beyond disgusting! Save your loving pet some trauma and please go somewhere else. DO NOT GO HERE!

I have HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Dr.Shukla and his practice and will continue to do so. The level of professionalism,ethics and compasion is remarkable. I used to take my previous dog(fur child) and now my current one to Dr. Shukla. Ever since then, he and his caring staff have become a special part of our lives. We can't thank them enough. We are Hurricane Sandy survivors and so is our Beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog Vincent. Unfortunately,he drank some flood water as we were fleeing from our home to safety and has become progressively sick due to the contaminants in the water. We can't Thank all of the doctors and staff enough for their extreme compassion and care for Vince. Thank you for all you have done for him.

This hospital works with the Animal Control of Linden, NJ. They have put down a cat - immediately after trapping - breaking the '7 day holding period rule' - because the cat was 'upset'. The owner was devestated. This should not be happening. And it happens all the time. I rated because the site would not accept my comentary without it. I have had no experience with this facility and apologize for the rating if it is not correct.

The doctors at Rahway Animal Hospital are kind and understanding. They took care of our dog who passed away at age 14 and are our vet of choice for our new puppy. They are knowledgeable and will take the time to answer questions. The practice is well run with no long waits. You can tell by the way they handle your pet that they are compassionate people and we recommend them highly.

There are no words enough to express the gratitude I have with Dr. Shukla and his staff. Since the first day I put my dog(child) under his care, I knew it was the BEST CHOICE. Since then, Rahway Animal Hospital has become a special part of my life. They are more than professional, they are like family.The care,honesty and dedication they provide is unsurpassed. I will eternally be grateful for the care Dr.Shukla provided to Pocho and currently to Teddy (My New Puppy).
