Dr. Steve Marsden is AWESOME. Drs. Karen Mardsen and Dr. Jen Marshall are also great to go to. They have been treating my Golden Girls for the past 20 years...…..they care and the front staff are also very welcoming and accommodating. This clinic is worth every dime....…. :)

Fabulous staff. Have helped my dogs through some interesting challenges. They consider a wide variety of options, not just "western medicine." Thorough and creative solutions. All about the best interest of the pooches.

Just wish they had the xray/ sonography on site. They have helped me and my cat for many years. No one is perfect but they care and research. They don't just accept the norm of what we are taught to know from pet food companies etc.

There prices are at least twice as much as anywhere else, sometimes triple. Yoou literaly have to be rich. A basic exam is $350.00 and to clean your dog's teeth cost anywhere fro $1200.00 to $2000.00. They are good vets but money is their main motivation.

My Shih Tzu has Cushings Disease and Colitis finally found someting that works through Herbal Medicine it brought relief and confort to my little one. I do find the clinic to be expensive and dont feel they have to charge what they do. The exams are not rushed and they do listen to your thoughts and concerns.

Dr Marsden was nice and did acupuncture on my cat who was uncomfortable due to her terminal cancer. It didn't seem to do anything but he wanted to keep her often (I stopped). His help with diet and herbs was good so I'll give him that. But he used my poor cat as a test subject for a rumoured ointment that was supposed to kill cancer tumours. He instead injected it into the tumour and she had a lot of pain from it. He also brought in a vet to "see" how good it worked when it actually did NOTHING but cause pain. I didn't take her back after that. She didn't need to suffer through it in her last months. The advice about the change in diet did help slow down her cancer growth before that "experiment" but it was basically the suggestion of a higher protein diet with less carbs. He suggested a raw diet, which she didn't like so I just changed food to be high protein. I don't recommend Dr Marsden. Also know that he has no staff overnight if he keeps you pet there (at least for mine).

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Steve Marsdens & Staff. Dr. Marsden has done an outstanding job in healing my dogs. Im not sure my dog would even be here today without the outstanding care of Dr. Marsden. I HIGHLY recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their pets as much as I do :)

We used tot take our dog to Steve Marsden prior to his training in holistic medicine (in the 90's). He was young, enthusiastic and really loved working with our dogs. He was very affective then. Recently, our little Russell started displaying symptoms that worried us and I made an appointment to see Dr.M. We had to wait as he was teaching in china, but I refused to take my dog to anyone else.it was definitely worth the wait He nailed the diagnosis and treated him with a combo of traditional and holistic medicine and within a week, our pet was back in stride.he has improved physically and mentally and giving as much grief as he did as the crazy Russell he has always been. Also, if we have taken him to our old vet, I can safely say the cost would have been almost double, with poorer results. Dr.M rocks. As a footnote, he was respectful and listened and was happy to answer questions and did NOT have his eye on his watch. My dog came first.

This vet office gave me two more years with my best friend. My dog was very sick and I will always be grateful for the care that I got. The regular vets gave up on him. Dr. Marshall went above and beyond and she always returned my calls. The downside is no overnight care and they open later than most vets. You are forced to go else where and most vet offices do not have any background on holistic care. Very pricy but great results. They have great compassion and the clinic is very calming to the animals.

I found Steve disappointing. He does not like being questioned once he has made a diagnosis and I do not think he is very adept with herbal formulations. Also it is cheaper for me to get adjustment from my chiropractor than my dog can get from him. Way overpriced.

Steve is an exceptional Veterinarian, who cares for your companion. He goes to the root of the problem instead of just masking the symptoms like common Vets. You'll find no revolving door here. The staff is great, friendly and informative. My allergy Golden flourished after consulting with Steve.

These guys had never heard of my cat's common condition, Megacolon, nor of the surgery to treat it. He also tried to convince us that our purebred lab (CKC registered) was a mutt of some sort because his coloring was different. Many other ignorant comments left me wondering if this guy had even gone to veterinary school. WOULD NOT GO BACK. If you have cats, go to the Glenora Cat Clinic - they are fantastic.

We were reluctant at first to try a new vet, but Holistic Vet Clinic came at the enthusiastic recommendation of a personal friend. Their rottweiller had been dying of a blood disorder that no other vet in Edmonton could treat... but Dr. Stephen Marsden took their rottie in, and saved her life. We were amazed to hear this, so we gave them a try. We brought one, then eventually two of our shepherds there. I forget if it was Karen Marsden or another lady vet who attended, but her diagnosis and prescription treatment for our one dog's shoulder problem worked wonders... he was fit as a fiddle within a week of seeing her. The Holistic Clinic front end staff are also confidence-inspiring folks. They all truly seem to love their work there, and we feel that our pets are always cared for whenever we bring them in. The prices are perhaps 10% more than competing clinics, but we feel that it was money well spent. We absolutely recommend the Holistic Vet Clinic and Dr. Marsden.

Have seen a LOT of vets since my dog was diagnosed with CAH, and never looked back after finding Karine and Steve. They are not always right, but will keep trying until they find the solution. The herbs they suggest work, but the cost can be a bit high, and in my case, are usually required over the long term. When I'm lucky enough to find another supplier, I usually pay less than half what they charge at the clinic.

Both Steve and Karen are absolutely fantastic vets. They don't push the low quality pet foods you find at vet clinics and supermarkets that are probably responsible for most of the illnesses pets today face. Instead they teach you to feed your pet healthy foods and you have a healthier pet. Their traditional/holistic approach to existing problems is unique and effective. I'm thrilled to have a vet clinic like theirs to take my pets to. The other vet clinics in town would do very well to take some lessons from them. I would never go anywhere else.

Have had GREAT experiences with this vet clinic. They take the time to explain things to you and feed your pet the most delicious treats. Are a wealth of information regarding nutrition...put healthy food in...have a healthier pet! makes sense to me.

Amazing Vet, with a dual approach- both tradition and holistic, she works wonders, and is really open minded about nutrition and health. She totally opened my eyes to a different way of feeding, and as a result my cats are SUPER healthy. I can't say enough about her.
