Do NOT go here! I have been going to Gateway for years and trusted that my cat was in good hands. Come to find out, from going to a different vet, she has advanced renal failure that should have been discovered by Gateway only 6 months ago. Dr. Jimerson is the worst. He is cocky and does not fully listen to your concerns. He is a know it all that has now shortened my cats life dramatically by insisting that she had a UTI which was caused by skin allergies. Renal failure is not curable but can be treated to prolong life. She is now beyond that point. I am going to investigate legal options. This place should either be shut down or Dr. Jimerson should be fired. If you look up his reviews there are NO good reviews on him.

I work in rescue, and have had several bad experiences at Gateway. The place is constantly packed... absolute bedlam... because the prices are lower than many area vets. Dr. Villicana, the owner, is gentlemanly - but it's all about $$$. A friend and I have both been given wrong diagnoses there. A friend told me about a cat in distress being kept in the boarding area. I went in, was allowed upstairs where I found no water in any of the boarding cat cages (no running water up there). Cat in question was literally encased in **** from waist down. I spoke to groomer who said there was no one to pay the bill so cat was not cleaned up. I convinced woman in front office to let me take the cat and rushed her to a good vet... who was horrified. The cat had a severe ecoli infection of the vagina and rectum that required major surgery. Gateway's abuse of cat has led to $$$$$ in vet bills. Other horror stories from ex-staffers and a vet who temped there once. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!
