Would like a little more aggressive care for my animal, such as old age care, kidney failure care, etc... I found the attitude is that “ oh well, it’s expected with age.” As well well I found lack of compassion when my pets died, most vets send a card or call to say something. We take our animals and trust them to your care for over 12 years. We like as customers, to know our animals were important to you as well. I

(There should be an "EXCELLENT" rating.) Always getting the best care for my cats (only one now). First went to the clinic when unhappy about treatment of a cat at another clinic which made the cat worse, where a dental plan was set up for 725$ supposedly because she had infection. The antibiotics made her very ill. Begging a friend for her vet's name because she loved the clinic, I went there and my cat had a mouth full of cancer, not infection. That is priceless! Emergencies are quickly dealt with. I am extremely happy that Dr. Langill now has new help! I hope they will be just like him...

Have used this vet for about 10 years for a cat. Love him. Dr Langil is one of the best vets you will find. He is competent and thorough (for example, knew my cat probably was allergic to chicken based on symptoms of scratching holes in in face, and he was right) and does not try to upsell anything (e.g. told me baby aspirin was just as good for arthritis as the expensive drugs he could sell me.) Cleans his teeth for nothing during annual visit with his own nails! Not sure boarding is the best facility but I don't go for that. If you want a good vet then he is your man.

The reception does the best it can under what seems a fair amount of duress with regards to time constraints. Not sure why there is so much duress. Dr. Gomez was patient, thorough and informative to my rabbit and I. I highly recommend the clinic.

I rarely write reviews but today I was getting some medications for my dog from the clinic. I was outside in the parking and I got a phone call, apparently I stayed too long over the phone, in the parking. One of the staff came knocking aggressively on the window and she was quite rude telling me that I should not be staying that long in the parking, even though the parking was almost empty. The phone call was a business meeting and it was quite embarrassing that my client heard the whole conversation since the call was on the car speakers.
If this what your staff do if a client of yours stays too long in the parking, I wonder what would they do if my dog stays overnight and barks a bit too much.
I won't be going back.

I have had Shar Pei dogs (9 total) for over 25 years and I have used at least 10 vet clinics over the years and Dr. Langill is by far the best vet I have ever met! I wish I had known about him a long time ago but I live in Ottawa so I only found out about this clinic when I adopted one of my Shar Peis from the Merlin's Hope Chow/Shar Pei dog rescue (I highly recommend this rescue if you are adopting a Chow or a Shar Pei). Dr. Langill so obviously cares for his patients and I trust him completely with the care of my furry dependants; he is very knowledgeable & competent. Not only is Dr. Langill the best, but his staff is also awesome. The drive from Ottawa to Montreal is well worth it in my opinion & my recommendation for Dr. Langill & his clinic is the highest possible...5 out of 5 on all possible counts!! Dr Langill has always provided the best of care for all our dogs, staff is always attentive and caring. Dr Langill is truly about the animals and not about making the most money possible from a client...i have reccomended him to many people and they come as far as Colburn,toronto and ottawa..he has to be doing something right for people to travel that distance

My vet was away so I went to this vet on a friends recommendation. I found him very rushed and abrupt. I was told my dog had an enlarged prostate and I needed to get him castrated right away. I was there because my dog wasn't eating and had been vomitting. I inherited the dog from my mother in law when she went into a home, otherwise my dog would have been neutered long before. He hadn't been neutered before because I was told he was too old. Dr Langill told me it would be fine and to pick him up in the morning. The next morning I was told the dog was in pain and suffering and they found a mass on his spleen. Dr Langill had to go so I could come get my dog or put him down. I didn't even get to see him or say goodbye because I couldn't leave him in pain. I was left in tears, regretting allowing him to be neutered. I never found out if he could have been saved. I feel awful that he was put in unnecessary pain and suffering. I was given false hope and that is the worst part.

This is the best vet ever. The prices are way below average but the service is excellent. The staff is ethical and compassionate. The facilities are not ultra modern, but who need that ? The first vet we met told us it would be a minimum of 1200 $ for the operation. Since we couldn't afford it, we postponned the operation. How I would have like to know before this clinic would do it for only 580$ (everything included, night stays and all). Also, they offer the option to pay by installement which make a big difference for a lot of people out there. Yes, Mr. Langill can seems a bit in a rush sometimes because he is very busy but I think he is just the type of straight to the point man. I guess our dog had a good time there because when we got back for a follow up and she was just happy to go back ! I have no words to say how GRATEFUL we are. Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you ! We sure will go back to this clinic.

I have visited Dr. Langill when my golden retriever was about 3 and a half months. I found that he really rushed into everything he did. He didn't seem to really care and when I asked him questions he answered them in an annoyed manner. I was a new dog owner and I had questions that needed answers. I felt as though I was annoying him so I stopped asking questions (which was dumb of me to do because I was paying him for the service). The reason I think he was annoyed was because he had many other patients waiting for him but it gives him no reason to rush. I was seriously in there for less than 20 mins and when I got to the counter, I had a bill of 150$ which I found ridiculous (for 2 shots!). I ended up still making another appointment but I never got a call back to confirm it so I didn't end up going to the appointment. Now my golden and I are happy, we found an amazing vet that is FAIR in their rates and cares just as much as I do for my pup.

The best vet. He may be curt with new clients because they probably won't come back, but if you're a regular, he takes the time to explain your options and listens to you. Over the years I've brought six of my own dogs to him with such a variety of problems from every day things like allergies and arthritis, to more obscure things like splinter abscesses, mast cell tumors, sarcoidosis, inverted nipples and other things to icky to mention, and every time, he has done his best to treat it as well as possible and as efficiently as possible. He never pressures us to make a decision one way or the other, and never pressures us to spend more money than we need to, but will order any tests we ask for and tell us whether or not he thinks we made the right choice. He really is the only vet I've been to who truly listens when you tell him something isn't right when your dog looks fine. I hope for our sake he has a long, long way till retirement.

I found Dr. Langill several years ago through this website and have had nothing but positive experiences ever since. I have taken my cat and my dog to the clinic on multiple occasions and both the doctor and the staff have always been extremely helpful. The prices are very fair, and unlike many of the other vets we've been to, Dr. Langill does not perform unnecessary tests just to inflate the price. In fact, the clinic waived off our fees several times when we went in for minor consultations. I am convinced that this is a clinic that puts its customers and their pets first. My family and I are very impressed so far.

We met Dr.Langill only once 3 years ago, and we never came back. When I booked an appointment I warned the secretary that we just adopted a dog and have A LOT of questions. But Dr.Langill literally rushed us out of his office saying "I have other clients". He's fast to prescribe some meds without checking if they're needed.
Maybe it was his bad day, but I would never go to him again. We found another vet - a bit of driving there, but it totally worth it!

I have been to see Dr. Langill a few times and every time has been a disaster. He doesn't seem to care for the animals, your pet is just another number. He's over booked and rushed and that's unacceptable. He's too quick to give a sedative to the animals before even really knowing what's going on. Anytime I've asked questions, he's always given a wishy washy answer. He never gives a straight answer. As for the rest of the staff, I never experienced any problems with them. They were always good to me and my animals. I would warn anyone who goes here! The prices are lower but so is the quality......you get what you pay for. If you love your furry family member, go somewhere else

I've brought my dogs to Liesse Animal Clinic for all kinds of health issues from routine annual check-ups to cancer. I love Dr. Langill's straight forward approach, especially when tackling the big problems.

I spent most of my working life working for a veterinarian and Dr.Langille is an excellent doctor, wonderful staff. He is one of a dying breed---one who does what he does out of a true love of animals putting their needs above money.He has the knowledge,wisdom and experience to make a diagnosis without running unneeded tests and I trust him 100%.He and his staff deserve the excellent reputation they have.

Boxer ulcer eye operation in Ontario was quoted at $1500.00. Dr. Bob Langill is a wonderful vet who cares so much about the welfare of his animal patients and charges a fraction of the price of the specialists. Extremely happy with the surgery he did on my boxer.

Had an elderly dog and a cat euthanized, as well as some standard shots etc. and the service was excellent, we weren't gouged for extra tests. The euthanizations were done in manner that gave the impression that the staff genuinely cared about the animals (and their young human friends).

Dr Langill has been around for ages and is known as an excellent, experienced, no-nonsense vet. He has operated on my dogs several times without any post-op problems and they both recovered nicely. I was so impressed that I have encouraged other people to become clients of his and they now feel the same way. Thank you Dr. Langill for making excellent vet care affordable for everyone. If you weren't around, there would be a lot more heartbreak caused by euthanasia of family pets when their owners can't afford surgical procedures and/or basic vet care. I hope you never retire!!!

I came here to get a dentistry for my cat. Other vets were charging 3 times the price. The veterinarian was so caring, it was obvious he didn't want my cat to suffer and did everything to make things go quickly with little stress to my cat. Very caring and obviously not working for profit but for servicing animals. Thank you so much.

Wish there was an EXCELLENT rating. Dr. Langill is a wonderful vet who does not take advantage of people, on the contrary. He is a no-nonsense man and not there for social reasons, but he quickly realizes when someone really cares about their animal(s). Having had a vet just like him before (the good old no-nonsense clinic where $ signs are not all that counts), then the crazy new-fangled clinic type where you don't see the same vet twice and pay a fortune for ordinary care), I am so thankful to the friend who told me about how great he is. Doctor Langill's staff is absolutely great. The facilities are no more, no less than I want (am not looking for an expensive spa). Doctor is always available for emergencies. My shelter cat came with many problems and there were follow-up visits that were not charged. When the staff is not rushed, we have a great time. Doctor is not there to socialize, but when I can, I try to get him to smile or laugh - I just love this place.

We went to see Dr. Langill when we adopted our dog, because I've seen many good comments about him. But both me and my husband didn't like Dr.Langill. We told him beforehand that this is our first dog, and we have a lot of questions. But after 2 min he started to rush us out, saying "I don't have time for you". When I told him about the food our dog eats, his reaction was "Never heard about it, so it's not good". Aother note - his medications are overpriced - we paid ~$67 for the heartworms med, and later I've seen the same med for $30. Overall, we won't be going to see this doctor again. (But his secretary Linda is amazing!)

Dr Langill has been my Vet for over 20 years...He's all about the welfare of the animals and providing the best quality care at a resonable cost. He's available for emergencies (and in a multi dog household, trust me, there can me emergencies outside normal operating house) He tells it like it is, no sugar coating, doesn;t order unnecessary testing or lab work. He is always open to suggestions and really listens to concerns. I will not take my animals anywhere else

Excellent, excellent vet with traditional and highly moral ethics, dedicated to the wellness and welfare of his patient's animals. He's not interested in Carribean cruises or driving a Hummer or Mercedes. If only more vets had his ethics and morals, more people would be inclined to take their dogs regularly to their vet.

Dr. Langill is exceptional. I have had many vets over several years and he is by far the best and his costs are by far the least. I made an emergency visit at midnight on New Years to the DMV animal hospital because my dog was having trouble breathing. They did X-rays and found fluid around the lungs. I asked if they used lasix to remove it, to which they said this was not effective when the fluid was around, instead of in, the lungs. They punctured in three places to remove the fluid and 12 hours later I brought the dog home at a cost of $900. We were warned that the problem would return. When it did, we brought the dog to Dr. Langill and he gave the dog a shot of lasix and three hours later he was fine. The cost for the visit, shot and a week of lasix pills was $40.00 instead of $900.00. He has been our vet now for 20 years and he is excellent!!!

Dr Langill has been our vet for over 10 years. He is extremely competent and fair in his pricing. I completely trust his opinion and would never go anywhere else. He took such good care of Max, my 13 yr old german shepherd. Other vets gave me all kinds of pills and shots without ever telling me what his problem was (he had food allergies). dr langill explained everything to us and always made himself availble. He is now taking good care of our Bouvier pup - Dexter

Dr. Langill & his father before him have been our families vet for over 50 years. Dr. Langill is EXTREMELY fair with his prices & Linda & the rest of the staff go out of their way to provide care to your pets. In December, my 4 year old Boxer had to be put down after Dr. Langill tried everything he could & he went above & beyond. I called every day & Dr. Langill himself gave me an update. Dr. Langill charged me the boarding rate for Sheba to stay at the hospital & NEVER did I feel like I was being taken advantage of. They were absolutely amazing & careing & gentle & understanding during a terrible time. You will NEVER have to worry if you pet is in their care!!!
