my family pets have been with this practice for 2 generations, but no more. every time i take my dog here the service is worse. there are only a few good staff left now. i notice that some of the new girls have an attitude... today's experience in a nutshell- i have a large dog who doesn't like getting her nails cut because she had her quick cut as a puppy and never forgot it. so i figure the vet should be the most experienced to do this, and it makes sense that that is why they charge so much more than the groomer. i stayed with my dog and held her while one tech helped hold her and the other clipped. she was doing great until they cut into the quick- not because the dog pulled or moved- she just cut too far, causing a lot of blood and pain. after that my pup really wanted out of there! so they called another tech to help, and when i went to pay the tech says my dog was being difficult so she charged me almost double! never taking my baby there again. ever.

The fronts clerks are very rude and gave me attitude about doing their job. They always try and sell me expensive extras and act as if I don't care about my pets if I refuse. I will not be going there again. I have been there 12 years and it has gone down hill in the past few years. It used to be a nice place to go but has been brought down by rude staff members and high prices. I would find a better place to go if I were you. I know I am!

I will not use Ocean View Veterinary Hospital again. I felt taken advantage of, and walked away feeling very uncomfortable about the entire experience. I with I had more than 1000 characters to properly describe the experience, so I will summarize. They quoted me $865 to stitch my dog up with laceration to his paw. They wanted to use a general anesthesia which was unnecessarily risky for the wound. They missed the fact he had an ear infection, the facility was not clean. My pet insurance instructed me to find another vet after I faxed them the estimate. Although I did contact Ocean View to discuss my issues and did receive a response, I still felt taken advantage of. The dog was taken to another vet up the street who ended up giving the dog 3 stitches with a local anesthesia, and resolved the ear infection for $330 for an emergency visit!

Seems like whenever I go with any of our 3 cats and dog we wait FOREVER even when we have an appt. Then they always want to sell us the most expensive accessories and food. They're in a posh town but I don't live on a posh budget

Excellent facility. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. All the vets are very good, I go to Dr. Maria Kuty who is excellent. She takes the time to explain things and calls back about test results and questions promptly. Very caring to my pets. She spends time with my dogs and is in no hurry. I trust her opinions when there is question about what or how to treat my pet. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kuty to others.
