I went to Dr. Benson for 20 years. I swore by him and referred MANY pet owners to him. I loved Dr. Benson, until he did some very rude & unethical things. I repotrd him to the state Veterinary Board; & when I got a report on him...I can't believe I ever trusted my fur-babies to him HORRIFING!!!!

I have just had my first experience with Dr Benson and this office, and I have to say I am extremely happy with him and the attention and care my cat has received. He came recommended to me by several cat breeders, and I brought my girl to him due to the potential severity of her issue (poss bowel blockage), and for the fact that this clinic charges SIGNIFICANTLY less than any of the practices in my home area of Northern Va. Dr Benson was very thorough, asked a ton of questions, and listened carefully to what I had to say. An hour later, he careful reciewed both her X-ray scans and ultrasound with me to ensure I had absolute understanding of her condition. While the checkout girl wasn't overly friendly, the tech that kept me informed of what would happen next was wonderful, I'm sorry I didn't catch her name. Phone staff is dry, but polite and informative. I'm not familiar with the other vets, but Dr Benson earned my trust right away, and I'm extremely happy with the care & communicatio

Dr. Benson's staff have improved tremendously in the many years I've been coming to see Dr. B. I can't say enough good about Dr. Benson. He's truly a wonderful vet.

Dr Benson was referred to me and my sister years ago when we moved to Baltimore. Dr Benson is an excellent Vet and helped me make several good decisions around my dog's health. Most recently my dog had ACL surgery and overdid it resulting in some required follow-up. Dr Benson and his team have taken my dog under their wing. They take my calls to check in, are very kind about his condition. I find his staff to be very supportive. As with any medical practice, clients get what they give. My experience has been great with front desk staff and vet techs. I have high expectations in any medical service provider and would recommend Dr. Benson and team to anyone who needed an excellent Vet.

Dr. Benson is one of the two Vets in the Baltimore Metro area to whom I would entrust my dogs' care. The other is Dr. Cook at Bel Air Animal Hospital. But--they both have staff who need a serious reality check. Generally--veterinary staff sucks. I guess that they can't afford to hire professional staff, i.e. desk workers, cashiers, assistants, etc. But both these guys are most excellent Vets, and genuinely care about animals, unlike --e.g.--Dundalk Animal Hospital--where all they care about is bucks and they're 3-4 times higher than Reisterstown or BelAir.

Staff is rude!! Hospital is disgusting. Had to wait a long time to be seen. Knowledge of veterinarian was little to none. Stay away!

Desk staff are horrible. They don't even acknowledge your presence. The you get discharge instructions from someone who talks as if she has marbels in her mouth. Dr. Benson is great.

Dr.Bensons staff is horrible. They often seem too busy to have a little personality and respect for their patients and owners. I had a very critical issue one time and it was like nothing was going on. They werent rushing around to take care of the issue, no communication and when I did ask any questions it was always like I was bothering them. Trying to get info over the phone is even worse. My issues can be time critical and I need to know results asap for what I do and it is ALWAYS a battle....not to mention I drive an hour and a half to go to this clinic. I am not happy at all. They need to be MUCH more personable and if I treated my clients like the way they treat me, I would be out of business!

My 1 1/2 year old dog died needlessly because of the lack of attention of this practice. They were too busy to deal with the fact that he was under such physical distress and he died because Dr. Benson was not agressive enough in his treatment (although he admitted later that he had seen several dogs die of the same condition). He sent him home with me instead of putting him under emergency care and during that time my little one became more dangerously ill. Even though I called his office every hour asking what to do, it wasn't until it was too late that he had me bring him back in. By then he was on the verge of death and eventually died. I am so angry with the lack of care and consideration given to my poor pet and hope no one has to go through this again with this vet.

I dont knew about Bill Benson, but his worker Dr. Dan Zakai, killed my kitty stupidly because of nonprofessionality or money. Bill is hiring non professionals and hide their licences. Never reccoment such a dreadfull place anyone!!
