Beware of this Vet, he will try to sell you everything under the sun. Expect to walk out with a $300+ bill for his "free exam".

If I could give "zero's" instead of 1's I would. I brought my beloved and best friend in because he was having bad diaherria and lost his appetite. After waiting for an hour + in the tiny waiting, with no explanation why, I was greeted by Dr. Gover in his usual shorts and t-shirt. He took a 5 second look and feel, gave him 3 shots, and said I needed to leave my guy for multiple overnights for "evaluation". His explanation was "he's old"...and THATS IT. I was NOT leaving my best friend with this loser. I said very politely "no thank you, I'd like to get a second opinion". He threw a hissy fit, bolted outta the room and ran back to his office. When I went to check out they wanted $400+++!!!! REALLY??? For an hour wait, less than 2 full minutes with the dr., and a fight? That's what u do? Try to suck $ out of people and play on the emotion of loving ur pet? With ZERO reason. NOT COOL. If I could tell everyone in Oceanside with a pet to stay away I would. UGH!

My wife and I brought our dog to this vet because she was limping. This quack, Stuart Gower, comes in and pretends to care about your pet and did many tests, most of which we did not ask for and things he did not let us know about. At the conclusion of our visit, he tells us that he is stumped and needs x-rays immediately to analyze further for proper treatment. However he prescribed 3 different 10-day medications to "aggressively treat" the multiple possibilities that might be wrong. He also did a substantial amount of blood work without advising us of how much all this would cost. It goes without saying I was stupefied to say the least when I received the bill. $438 for the inconclusive visit and I would have to spend another $1000 for him to have a better look. When I questioned him about the bill and expressed my displeasure with his services, he tried to give me a guilt trip, saying that he's trying to aggressively treat my dog and I don't want to pay. What a crook...
