This veterinarian has gone down hill since they were sold. Charges have increased dramatically and they are requiring a office visit and test to have prescriptions refilled. It has become very difficult to even get an appointment because they have only one veterinarian for several years now. Dint believe the reviews on there website because you can't leave a bad review. They also have a office manager telling you what can be done when the veterinarian used to be able to sell you a prescription without a office visit.

The folks at Aylett Animal Hospital are fantastic. They helped me so much with my cat and I will always be grateful to them for their kindness and expertise. Nobody better around.

Dr. Slayman is the best vet I've ever used. She is knowledgeable, skilled in her assessments and recommendations; you can trust her. Uses good common sense with her medical expertise. Personable and caring for her clients.

I have only good things to say about Dr. Slayman and Dr. Forester. They are very caring about the pet that you bring to them. I have go to them for C-sections to Kidney stones and I know that my pets will get the best care. I drive 2 plus hours to get to them. Shirley Rothman, Chase City, VA

Sydney Forester, DVM is unsurpassed in her diagnostic skills, surgical skills and genuine caring for your pet AND you. She has literally saved the lives of more than one of my pets (both dogs and cats). Her emphasis is on saving life versus ending suffering until all options have been exhausted to bring your pet back to you whole and well. I cannot say enough good about her. SYDNEY is who you want to see -- I do not know the other docs in this practice. I just follow her wherever she goes, now 40 miles one way from my home. Her last services were a trip to my home to lay down my 15-yo sheep dog who was lame, but otherwise happy, as it was in everyone's best interests that it be done this way. She carried Harry's remains away for cremation. She has diagnosed an insulinoma in a Border Collie with proper referrals for higher levels of care, saved a cat from a fulminating abscess and near death, and made many painful issues disappear for my pets! GRADE A caring vet!!!
