Click to report rating    1/23/10   3     2     2     1   I was extremely disappointed with Banfield. The staff was not mean but the corporate veterinary atmosphere dampened my mood. I felt like I was buying a car instead of finding medical care for my pets. They pushed me to vaccinate my dog for everything (even things my dog has no risk of catching in Western Oregon). I also think it's tacky havign a medical office connected to a pet store. RID: 16291
Click to report rating    7/30/09   4     5     4     4   I have been taking my Chihuahua to the Banfield in Clackamas for over a year. The staff all know my dog and give a follow-up phone call the next day after any kind of visit. I have the "insurance," but sometimes I get charge extra for what seems should have been covered. It is usually a small amount. I have taken her in on occassion when there was really nothing wrong with her, just an over-reaction on my part (e.g. butt rubbing on the carpet), and they have not charged me for that. Overall, I am satisfied with their service, though I have heard Banfield in other areas of the country are not as good. RID: 13666
Click to report rating    8/25/08   1     3     2     1   I brought my 9 week old puppy in with the following symptoms: vomiting, diarrhea, extreme lethargy, complete loss of appetite. The puppy was adopted 3 days earlier from a shelter with a diagnosis of kennel cough. The puppy's condition had rapidly deteriorated in that time. I was told that "puppies sleep a lot" and to continue the antibiotics. I *SPECIFICALLY* asked if I should be concerned about parvo and was told no. They gave me a script for a bland diet dog food and told to keep an eye on her. THE DOG WASN'T EATING! so what good does dog food do??? She was still lethargic and continued to vomit throughout the night so I took her to my normal vet the following morning. She was immediately admitted and is being treated for Parvo. When I called Banfield to let them know that a highly contagious diseased dog had been at their site the previous day, they were very dismissive. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE!!! Find other emergency care! My dog has a 50/50 chance of surviving now. RID: 9768
Click to report rating    7/15/07   3     3     4     3   Not impressed. They really give you the hard sell for their pre-paid "care plan" and rather than spend time with me (owner of my first puppy ever) they left me in the exam room to watch a video on dog care. Really weird. RID: 5212

Click to report rating    6/8/07   1     4     1     1   The staff is extremely rude and their prices are extremely high, I would definitely not reccommend this vet!! RID: 4450
Click to report rating    2/11/07   5     5     4     5   Banfield is a great hospital & Dr. Todd Nash is one of the best. They offer health insurance at a very reasonable prive & it certainly helps. They are throughout the US.Rating is excellent. RID: 2828
