I scheduled an early morning appointment for my dog, who was showing signs of pain and dementia. However, 30 minutes before the appointment, the staff called to reschedule because Dr. Motler was called out on a call. I was asked to call back multiple times to check if the doctor had returned, only to be met with uncertainty each time.
To make matters worse, Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital charged me a $75 cancellation fee despite the fact that I had to reschedule multiple times due to their scheduling issues. I spent the entire day out of work trying to get my dog seen, only to end up paying a cancellation fee for an appointment that I couldn't attend due to their scheduling confusion.
Despite my numerous attempts to contest the fee and speak with Dr. Motler, I never received a call back. After two months of trying to resolve the issue, I finally paid the fee in person, just to put the matter to rest.

This is the most caring and compassionate place to take your furry family member. I've been to so many vets over the years in so many places and I have finally one that is truly perfect with Doctor Motler's office. She is the only vet I will use Doctor Motler and her staff care so genuinely about every animal. My pup has always hated going to the vet it was such a chore until she started coming here and now she actually gets excited to go! I never have to remind Doctor Motler of any detail about my dog's preferences and she goes out of her way to always make sure everything is as comfortable as possible. No matter how busy the office is she has never, not once rushed through our appointments. She explains every detail so we absolutely understand what's going on and offers multiple different options. She goes out of her way to search out possibilities if we aren't completely comfortable. I just can't say enough the people who work here are truly invested in my dog's health and happiness

This is by far the most experienced and caring facility I've ever had care for my pets. Each visit is personalized and the staff is wonderful. I have a very special dog and they treat every patient as if they were as special as mine. If you just want annual shots or standard meds, you can get those anywhere. PVAH is where to go if you love your pet and want their vet to love them too. Seriously.
