Please avoid if you are looking for a loving, caring physician for your pet. I made the mistake of taking my dog there twice, after the last visit I found my dog a proper vet the next day. Upon the last visit to this clinic, my dog was seen for a ruptured ACL that would require surgery. I didn't have $1200 on the spot for surgery and the doctor wasn't answering my questions about her diagnosis. He prescribed an antiobiotic and a steriod for her and told us to come back in a week.... Not giving her anything for pain--and why she needed an antiobiotic is beyond me. I took her to a new vet the next day and they gave her pain medicine, told me she didn't need the $50 worth of useless meds this clinic had given her, and we scheduled her surgery for the next day. I'm very disgusted by the lack of concern I feel this clinic has towards my pet. The doctor there is not very personable and I really wonder why he practices vetinary medicine at all. PLEASE, if you love your pet...AVOID!!!

I took my Blue and Gold Macaw in for her first visit and they were awesome from start to finish! The vet gave her some antibiotics because I could tell her breathing was a little different than usual. She is my best friend in the world so I know when something isn't right. He clipped her feathers and was obviously very skilled with huge birds that have can openers for beaks! He also taught me how to do it as well. She's all well now but the best part is that I expected to pay hundreds of dollars because I have before at another vet where I take my reptiles to. The bill was only $60.00! That is more than reasonable and I will continue to use them for all my exotics from now on. I was extremely happy with the office staff as well. I had practically no wait so as far as I'm concerned I will definately recommend them to others.

Like the other person who rated this clinic I too had a bad experience when I brought my dog in. He was treated by a Doctor Hare who I suspect under treated my dog in hopes of me having to return which I did to cure his Kennel Cough. When I went to another clinic in Austin they told me their standard treatment is about 14 days instead of 10. Also South Branch tried to talk me into a dental which can be fatal and also expensive due to the use of anesthetics. When I took Koda to a new vet (Fur and Feather on Manchaca) the doctor commented "Well something that you are eating is keeping the tartar off your teeth because they look so good."
