Click to report rating    8/30/15   1     1     1     1   Dr. John was the nastiest person I have ever encountered. Very unprofessional and full of himself. Instead of guiding a client towards a patient care decision he shoves his opinion down your throat with such sayings as "there are other cats out there- don't waste your time trying to save this one" and " I am going to put this animal to sleep today- I am not going to allow you to let this pet suffer". Not the most empathetic person to be holding a vet license. He could have been more sympathetic but instead he acted like he was in a hurry and that you were wasting his time. He does not act like he cares one bit about your ailing pet. He is gruff and has a God Complex. Steer clear from this man and Sylvania Veterinary Hospital. I was a client there for over 20 years until I had the displeasure of meeting Dr. John. RID: 58234
Click to report rating    5/24/11   5     5     5     5   Dr. Esplin and his staff are the kindest, most caring people in the pet business. Dr. Robert Esplin has seen me through the care and the loss of many pets over 31 years, the latest last night being our German Shepherd, Max. His understanding compassion, and his love for animals has been there I am sure since he was born. The hospital is AAHA certified, so far ahead of any other vet hospital in this area. They have hydrotherapy, grief counselling, cancer and hematologic therapy...it goes on and on. They answer their own phones 24/7 and a vet is always there. If you board your beds, or they are there for health reasons, they are NEVER alone. They are always staffed. Dr. Bob is a friend to all. RID: 25187
