The vets are good but one particular clinic admin staff is rude and blunt. They left their computer monitor on while clients are waiting in the exam room. Instead of assuming their responsibility to logged out their computer, they blamed clients for able to see their monitor while standing in the room. The worst is that the clinic manager only listened to clinic staff and issued letter which twisted the truth and blamed clients for "touching and using" their computers in which clients never did that. Clients have
tried to explain to the clinic manager, but of no avail as the clinic manager was very defensive and not really opened to clients' explanation. This incident has damaged the long trusting relationship with this clinic.

Insensitive staff, rude and condescending. They seem to care more about money than the pets. The front desk are all so incredibly rude, I wonder how they have even kept jobs. Do not recommend and have heard similar stories from neighbors. Please take your pets somewhere else. Especially if in an emergency unless you want to be treated like garbage and over charged for no results.

I had the worst experience with Blue Cross Animal Hospital... avoid... worst vet I've had (Dr Grams). Long story short... It was unbelievable and very stressful to be threatened with having you're pet, that you care for, taken away by the OSPCA that was called by the vet! (Luckily, I found a wonderful vet elsewhere!)
I will no longer trust the BCAH google review site which has someone monitoring reviews for this place... do they have something to lose or hide?

Not quite sure what is going on there. Dr. Eaglesome sends pets home with medications and that's it? I didn't know that it was ok to send a pet home with insulin and then not follow up. Give them the insulin and hope for the best? Am I giving enough? Called her to ask, and was charged $25.00 for her answer. And my cat is her patient! It truly is just about the money. I have already spent $20,000 on my dog there, who they didn't help. I had been going there for over 20 years, fortunately my first pet was under Dr Tanney, and she had minimal problems. Time to look for another vet!

Misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis. They given wrong medication to my dog. They performed surgery on my cat, who they had just diagnosed with uncontrolled diabetes, which almost killed her. I have since been told that no surgery should be performed on a pet in this condition and yet they advised us that it would help!!! And were sheepish when they sent her home that night, they thought to die. Which is another thing, they send your pet home regardless of their condition, because they have no one overnight in the facility watching the animals!! I have seen all of the Vets in the place, and found them all lacking, after spending considerable money. In the end all they did was prolong and add to my dogs suffering. I had been with the clinic for years with the wonderful Dr Tanney, and they are not even close to his level of knowledge or skill. Talking to animals sweetly when their owner is around does not make a good educated vet. My next pet will definitely be going to a different clinic.

My dog was misdiagnosed with cancer at Blue Cross. Fortunately, I got a second opinion (Dr. Sherebrin at Secord Animal Hospital) and he did not have cancer, but Lyme disease. I first took my dog to Blue Cross for neutering and basic checks and vaccinations but after my experience with a serious matter, I have lost confidence in them being able to deal with such things.

They use to be affordable, but after Dr. Tanney left things changed. However, Dr. Irannejad is really very nice and helpful and the main reason me and my two dogs stay at this clinic.

The worst vet clinic I've ever been to. They do the worst examinations often ooohing and awing over the animal but missing one important part the examination! They are the least hands on of any vet I've ever been to. The newer vets are hostile and seem afraid of dogs..also seem that they have no experience handling animals except from a book. They tell you to come back in two weeks..their favourite scheme so they can charge you yet again for another half assed exam.If you even need shots they'll do it twice. You pay for their mistakes. They have an office mgr that laughs at the clients and is a specialist in double talking and bs. Between bites of food..she an answer to cover any of their mistakes. I've sat in the waiting room while people come in looking to check prices and they are very hostile and show no compassion for people that obviously are lower income.Do not take your pet here..in the end you are flushing your money away and your pet will suffer greatly for lack of care.

What can you say about the people who fought along side you, for nearly three months, to save the life of your best friend. How do you convey to others that the care he received was beyond their simply being good doctors. Of course Vinny mattered to me, but he mattered to them as well and they treated him (and me) with respect, dignity & compassion at all times. There was an open dialogue between myself & all the doctors, even those not assigned to his treatment who had pitched in to help find a cure. And, in the end when nothing could be done, they helped me let him go. His photo’s now on their wall of memories, alongside so many other dearly beloved little ones lucky enough to be treated by this spectacular ensemble of physicians, technicians and staff. Take your pet here. You won’t be disappointed. You may be a little jealous. I wish my own family medical clinic was as knowledgeable, kind, talented & efficient as Blue Cross. Oh, and their rates are too! Go. You won’t regret it.

I've been a client of Blue Cross for close to 10 years. I first went to the clinic to see Dr. Tanney, a fellow Pug lover...and he was a remarkable, wonderful man. It's not surprising then, that his business partner, Dr. Eaglesome, is equally wonderful and provides the same compassion and wisdom when caring for our beloved pugs! They are two-of-a-kind...Tanney & Eaglesome. Dr. Eaglesome now cares for our dogs and we always appreciate the wonderful care our little pugs get...she takes her time with our questions, answers every concern, explains in a way we understand, and our appointment time is always honoured...in fact, we often get in early if there are no patient emergencies. Blue Cross has looked after two generations of beloved pets for our family, and never once have we wondered if the long drive was worth it. We travel in from north of the city because of the excellent degree of care we receive. Thank you Dr. Eaglesome and the entire team at Blue Cross!

The vets here are great. They are smart, friendly and trustworthy. However, the front desk staff are clueless and the facilities aren't clean. The vet bills here are very inexpensive, but I am always waiting in the waiting room, even when I have an appointment. All in all, I still come here because of the location and the vets.

I liked the vet. Very knowledgable man. Intelligent and really knows his material. However and this is a big however, I found the service to be very rushed. The waiting room was packed and to say the least-did not seem clean. Will pass on them. However that vet does belong in a better clinic, but I admire his humble attitude.

I have taken all three of my cats there, and Dr. Tanney and Dr. Sloane are amazing. Unfortunately, one of my cats had to be put down, and I hate to say, one of the vets at the practice, whose name I won't mention, told us we would have time to say our goodbyes, which we were not given, until after our cat had been euthanized, and I would even say he was smug at best in informing us that aside from a $1500 blood transfusion every 2 weeks to keep her alive, our cat would have to be put down. Otherwise, every other staff member and vet I have dealt with at the Clinic have been wonderful, caring individuals.

I took my sisters cat in because it had allergies to dust and was scratching itself raw. They claimed they didn't have the cats medical records and wanted me to pay for all kinds of tests including a biopsy. Basically they said that the shot could kill the cat so I'd have to have it done. When the results came back they said it was an allergy - what I had stated in the first place - $300 later. Also they gave her a shot and pills for it...the vet tried to give the cat the pill - the cat hissed and swiped at him and his reaction was to throw the pills on the table and say you can do it at home yourself!!
