Two of my animals have died now because Dr Evan told me they were fine. Each time I came home within days and the animal was dead. I will never take any animal here again.

The senior vet was quite pleasant but the price he quoted for a test seemed exorbitantly high & was about three times what my friend paid for the same test for her cat, but my pet is much smaller. Each time after holding my pet the vet would suddenly drop her onto the table, that my pet looked stunned. He then took her into the back room to draw blood and I was not with them. When he brought my pet out, she was a total wreck and was leaning against the container wall. As I reached in to pick her up, she started crying. This was the first time she has ever cried.
I do not know what happened in the other room, but my pet's crying tells me alot.
I have tried some other vets at this clinic and was not happy. Because they are so sure, they tended to invalidate or misunderstand my concerns, treating me as if I know nothing. The older woman vet did not properly assess my pet and was eager to recommend too many services and does not properly explain the purpose of her recommendations

My sick bird was seen at this clinic by Dr. Nur, who recommended a number of treatments and services and giving the impression they were necessary, which was costly for me. Afterwards I learned some of those treatments/services were UNNECESSARY. When I addressed some of these problems with her, in my pet's chart she then misreported what transpired between us making it seem as if I were at fault. Do not be fooled by her superficial niceties. Given my experience, she is not nice on the inside.

I recently took my bunny to get spayed at this clinic after some extensive research on rabbit savy vets. Since my bunny never saw a vet before I didn't know what to expect. Dr Rick Axelson did a pre-surgery exam. He really knew how to deal with rabbits, went into details about rabbit's diet and how to take care of it, showed me how to properly carry and brush my bunny. It was nice to see that he truly cares about his patients. After the surgery was done, Dr. Axelson himself called to inform me of how it went. The next morning I got another call from Dr. Axelson. Working in a medical field myself I know it is rare for a doctor to dedicate time to call patients. So I think this was a very nice gesture. Also it was very considerate to give another call the next morning since bunnies have to stay overnight at the clinic. Dr Axelson will be my go-to vet from now on. I definitely recommend this clinic to rabbit owners!

Great staff, have dealt with all 3 vets (Nur, Axelson Jr., and Mavromatis) with my bird who requires fluid withdrawal once a month and medication. They saved me money by writing a prescription for me, and are gentle and sweet with my high-risk handling lovebird. Sometimes they run a bit late. Regardless, very knowledgeable, good bedside manner (Axelson could use a bit of work, but I doubt he sounds as rough around the edges as he does intentionally - he's also a bit rougher with animals, but not to a painful degree), efficient. Their procedures are a bit expensive, but that's expected based on the location - the fact that it caters to a large population of exotics over the GTA, and that it's a specialized clinic. You won't find this level of knowledge or care at any cat/dog clinic that decides they can also see exotics. These are great vets in a great office who do great work. Would surely recommend.

As a teenager I brought my guinea pigs (Kyera&Peanut) in to Dr.Mavromitis much to my regret!! Peanut had contracted(what I KNOW was an)upper respiratory infection a few weeks after I bought her from the pet store. Kyera became ill the morning after I noticed that peanut was sick even though I had them quarantined in separate rooms. They both had mucousy noses, crusty eyes and were breathing loudly. The FIRST thing he said to me upon looking at them was that they had been abused. I was absolutely FLOORED! I told him no such thing had happened and that I knew they had an upper respiratory infection! He proceeded to ignore me and sold me a bag of Oxbow Critical Care but refused to prescribe antibiotics. Both guinea pigs died less than 24 hours later and my heart was broken and cannot bring myself to have guinea pigs ever again. I now live on a horse farm and am the proud owner of 2 rabbits(a male of 9 years and a female of 5 months)who I bring to Dr.Munn of Greenwood Park Vets in Toronto.

I recently just took my lovebird to get looked at and have some bloodwork done. They gave him a injection of b12 vitamin and was told it would help him with the stress. I was not informed with any of the side affects that might be involved. By the time I got home he could not keep anything down. Dehydrated, his boy temperature went right up. In a matter of minutes half his body was paralyzed. He could not breath and eventually passed away in my hands. The pain and suffering I witnessed him having to go through will haunt me for the rest of my life. I later did research to find out what could have happened. Everything went back to the b12. On top of everything else I had to phone three times before someone would return my phone call. I blame myself for taking my baby there. They call themselves a vet for exotic animals. But how could they not no about the side affects to this injection??? Never go here!!!

Dr. Nur misdiagnosed my hedgehog with mites, in which she ended up requiring three needles of medication, and a topical treatment. Each shot cost me about $90, and the topical about $20, for a hedgehog that did not have any mites. After this, I began to see Dr. Mavromatis, who determined the way her skin was flaking it was not mites and perhaps it was a hormonal problem, after I had spent several hundred dollars on mite treatments. I found Dr. Mavromatis to be skilled in what he does, friendly and caring and it always a pleasure to have him look after my pets. The office and facilities are clean and the environment is friendly. I would recommend this clinic to people who have exotic animals, however if you are looking to have care provided to a dog or cat, go elsewhere as the prices are fairly expensive. I would recommend you see Dr. Mavromatis, and pass on Dr. Nur.

I cannot tell you how much Links road has helped my with my budgie. There people here are phenomenal. I came here after a bad experience and VEH south and the Vets here are the most understanding, helpful and KNOWLDGEABLE. I would recommend that anyone with a bird needing a vet go here. Thank you Dr. Axelson for your counsel during my budgie's stay at VEH south, and Thank you Dr. Nur, both of you truly are exemplary examples of what a vet should be. Thank you again!

I felt that staff were knowledgable, prompt and did genuinely seem to care about what they did, but lets get real, what they charge is outrageous. $500 for a check up which included, bloodwork, fecal sample, ear drops, 2 shots and revolution. A friend of mine, with same type of dog, spent half of that at her vet. I would call this vet a rich man's vet!
