The owner of this hospital Dr. Mark Burns has allowed deaths of pets due to very poor levels of care at his hospitals. He cares about nothing but money and has created a McDonald like franchise out of veterinary hospitals, DVM Hospitals in lower manhattan.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Alex Koprowski at Tribeca Soho. I currently have a Great Dane who's a very delicate flower. Dr Koprowski is the most knowledgeable vet I've found in the NYC metro area about giant breeds. She's also the only vet I've ever had who answers my texts at 10pm when I'm trying to figure out how to take care of my dog's newest problem. Dr Koprowski has great bedside manner both with me and my dog. She's very reasonable in her treatment--never too aggressive but never dismissive of problems. She's also creative in treating my dog's particular problems in ways that make me comfortable. I now live in NJ and don't own a car. I've tried local vets but Dr Koprowski is so good that I always go back to her--even though it now means paying the exorbitant cabfare to take my dane to and from Manhattan to see her. In the end, taking my dog to Dr Koprowski is better bang for my buck because her care is so superior to any other vet I've tried.

I have bringing my three pets (2 cats and a dog) here for over 7 years now and they come here for everything. They offer anything that you would ever need for pet care. I had the unfortunate event of having to keep one of my cats hospitalized here for over a week, but the doctors and staff were so great. I was able to visit and call (even late at night) to check up on my baby. It was so hard to not have him home. He had to undergo major surgery and both Dr. Yoshida and Dr. Martel did a wonderful job with him. I would totally recommend them as vets.

We have an eighteen year old cat and who has been a part of our household all of that time. She is blind, which has made her extremely anxious. She goes to the bathroom constantly, often not in her pan. She can't clean herself. She walks with great arthritic pain. We hate to lose her but also hate to see her suffer. After many anguished conversations, we brought her to this place to euthanize her, and with only a perfunctory exam decided that the suffering was treatable, not curable. They interpreted the cat's agitated state as "frisky". We were told that pet owners have a responsibility to their pets. what part of not loving and caring for this animal for eighteen years didn't they get? If they didn't want to euthanize her, that's their right and priviledge, but they made us feel guilty. The treatment would have been costly and with no curative value and God knows what positive outcome. Stay away from this place if you don't want to be pressured into questionable service.
